Your typical small town Mexican restaurant. The biggest thing you can expect is an oversized drink glass. We both got tea; a sweet and unsweet and they tasted good and fresh.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pepe’s Mexican restaurant and overall, I had a satisfying experience. The highlight of my meal was the chicken chimichanga. It was bursting with flavor, and the generous portion of chicken inside made it a hearty and delicious choice. Although the size of the chimichanga itself was slightly smaller than expected, the abundance of chicken mostly made up for it.

Waitresses are very rude and need to be trained on how to serve. Todays waitress had an attitude from the time I walked in and sat down. In the past I have caught the waitresses trying to over charge. My child loves the chicken rice and cheese but does not like her food to touch so I will order it on two separate plates. One time the same waitress as today tried to charge us for two meals because it was on two plates. Today I wanted the lunch chimichanga with shrimp but was told I couldn’t get shrimp. I was willing to pay them up charge but before I could tell her that I would pay the difference she was telling me I could not get it. I could only get chicken or beef and that I could not get the steak only hamburger meat. So I ended up eating the chicken even though that is not what I wanted. If something is not done with the attitudes of the waitresses I will no longer be eating there.

I especially appreciated the very mild salsa. Spicy foods give me acid reflux, so I am always glad to find mild salsa when possible. Also, there was a very large portion of tilapia with my 2 Fish Fillet dinner.
