It has been a few years, ten to be exact, since the last time I came here. I was amazed at how much it had change. From the small store to nice spaces, open sitting areas inside and outside, perfect for a Sunday lunch! Started with some chicharrón that let me tell you was cooked to perfection! For the big meals went with Seco de carne and Lomo Saltado. Delicious! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for the great service and wish you success.

Oh my… this is by far my favorite South American restaurant ever!!! The food tastes just like back home. The quality and quantity are just perfect. If you want to try new something new, please come to Los Galapagos. You won’t regret it.

Mofongo was soft but not dry as it should be. The only complaint is certain dishes are only available on the weekends. Wish we knew that before driving over.

If you are looking for authentic home made food this is the place to go, me an my wife got the mixed plate which is pork, rice, beans, and a veggie mix. The blackberry drink in milk or water is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this if you’ve never tried a mixture of Latin foods that is absolutely to die for.

Ok. Most of the food was great, the place at lunch wasn’t too busy, and most of my meal was pretty good except the Arepa, mind you I’m spoiled because mine are better; the others I have had in Ohio have been better!

This restaurant has dry and canned goods and also beverages and candy from South and Central America, and their menu showcases dishes from those areas also. The food is well prepared but is, unfortunately, mostly flavourless. There doesn’t seem to be seasoning of any kind, even though we were asked for flavour preferences (we chose garlic, but couldnt taste the garlic at all). I may try again, but I’m going to bring hot sauce.

It’d been a while since I’d visited this mom and pop hole in the wall. I had been slightly disappointed then, but really, really enjoyed my meal this time. Definitely will continue to come to this gem. The cheese empanada I ordered was cooked to order. Not sitting in a warmer. The meal hit the spot. I ordered the steak with rice and beans. The beans were perfectly seasoned and the rice was cooked al-dente not soft and mushy. The steak was a bit on the thin side and slightly overcooked in areas, but the seasoning was also spot on. Definitely would pay for a slightly thicker steak. Next time I’ll get the fried red snapper which the next table ordered. Good job!

What an amazing place. I’m a born and raised Ecuadorian and I can honestly say this is as authentic as you can get. From the looks and feel of the restaurant to the taste and presentation.
