Really awesome space, but I recently moved from the Pacific Northwest so I loved the interior design and colors. However, doesn’t focus at all in the history of the building and the Georgetown area.

5 stars is not enough. My steak was so good I seriously considered ordering another. Never had that thought in any other steakhouse. The four onion soup was great. Brussel Sprouts were okay. Be sure to save room for dessert. Not having that second steak was a good idea. The key lime pie was a perfect way to finish off the meal. Service was terrific. Every time my tea glass got down to 1/3 full, they brought a full glass to replace them.

We had our Wedding at City Post in May and let me tell you, it was perfect! Raleigh and her whole team went out of their way to make it a night to remember and special. Raleigh was excellent in keeping up communication, very professional and passionate. They were on top of everything and even worked with us on last minute changes we needed done. The food was amazing, delicious and I want to thank Chef Adrian and his team. I want to give a special credit to Raleigh Barnes. The entire night she made sure everything was going smoothly and was very attentive. If I can give 10 stars I would give 10 stars to this place. We would definitely come back to this place!

Went to dinner with great friends and my husband at City Post. We made our reservations 3 weeks in advance. There is a dress code so be prepared to not wear open toed shoes, shorts, or hats. I had lobster roll, and it was delicious. My husband had the fillet steak and it was very good as well. My only complaint was the green beans were extremely undercooked.

Our first visit to the restaurant was interesting. The atmosphere is very nice. Steak houses are usually dark and grimy. City Post is bright, airy and spacious. We sat in a middle table facing the chefs and behind us a few tables a piano play started some nice tunes. The tunes were a bit loud but the restaurant was somewhat loud due to the high echoing ceilings. Still, the inside was nice and clean. The service was great. Our server was very attentive and didn’t rush us to order. We spent an hour and fifteen minutes eating. The lady has a white wine that she liked. The son and I had water. We did not have bread – didn’t see it on the menu but most other tables had a round loaf of bread. We started with a salad which was very good – crispy and tasty. We ordered a family size of Brussel sprouts to share as an appetizer. They had no sauce, just some pepper and salt; a bit plain for my taste. My son ordered the lobster roll and fries The lobster was large and tasted good. He commented that the roll was very tough and toasted, as opposed to the normal soft bread we find in the NE. The fries came an a paper lined glass and most were dark brown and over cooked plus soggy. I had a Chilean sea bass. It was small about an inch thick. One end was tender, the other was over cooked and dry. That is hard to do with sea bass. The asparagus under the fish were cooked well. The lady has filet mignon cooked medium. Well it was cooked more like well done. She commented that the steak was salty and dry. She likes salt on food too. It was dry. The poor steak was served in the middle of a plate with nothing else. We ordered a family sized french fry and it was served the same as the lobster role side. It was hardy a family sized portion. Again, the fries were brown and soggy. It is hard to complain when you are in the middle table of a restaurant and the high school kid doesn’t want to be embarrassed. I didn’t feel like complaining as it was our anniversary. We shared a key lime pike that was delicious. The meal with tip was $200. For the quality of the food, it is way overpriced considering other restaurants in Gt. Not sure if we will return as that is a heft price to pay for a sub-par meal.

Really incredible tuna poke—excellent food and cocktails overall. We challenged the bartender with a mezcal sour, and it came out perfect. The steak was cooked just right. On top of that, the historic industrial aesthetic and quality service make it an ideal brunch or date night location.

I debated between a 3 and 4 star rating but decided I’d give the 4, heck it’s Sunday so I’ll take one for the team.

Great restaurant. They turned an old post office into a restaurant. It’s very neat inside. Cool concept. The food and service was excellent. We came for lunch. Had the salmon with sautéed spinach (excellent), lobster roll, french onion soup and ahi tuna appetizer. All were very good.

Had my retirement dinner on Friday at City Post. All the staff were attentive and accurate in our orders. They didn’t rush us and paced the courses perfectly. Food was delicious. Sides are family size, but are really for 2 people, so I suggest a side for each person at the table to share with others. We most definitely will be coming back!
