We stopped here for lunch while passing through on our way home from a vacation in Denver. The food was delicious. Our server was very attentive and very friendly. The atmosphere was great! This is a fun place. All the staff we saw were friendly and actively involved in making sure the place was clean and customers were taken care of. We would definitely dine here again!

First time eating here. Food was delicious and not too expensive. Service was great. The beautiful seasonal decor and eating out on the patio really made for a nice experience. They also have a little section where they sell desserts and Mexican candy.

I came here wanting a good place to sit down and enjoy a meal. I didn’t feel like fast food. El Jacal didn’t disappoint. This is a relatively small but quaint Mexican restaurant. I ordered the queso dip, which I’d highly recommend since it’s a good value for what you receive. I do have a few things I’d like to address. First off, chips and salsa aren’t free/complimentary. 95% of the Mexican restaurants they offer it complimentary, but not here. The second issue, which is more of a personal preference. The chips were very thick rather than thin. Maybe you like that sort of thing, but that’s not my thing. Apart from that my experience here was very good. I ordered the mixed fajita with steak, chicken, and shrimp. They gave me so much that I had to take it home with me. My waitress was pretty good at keeping my glass topped off with refills. My overall rating is 5/5. Just remember my disclaimer, and don’t say nobody told you.

Beautiful building but more amazing food. The best Steak Chimichanga I have ever eaten hands down! They know how to fry it right light fluffy and crunchy shell filled with steak and cheese and a lot of garlic and flavor. I will be back.

I found this inviting little place just a short walk from my hotel after a long day’s drive. I sat on the patio on a wonderful summer evening. The furniture out there is cast iron, and while it looks nice, it’s not very comfortable for any length of time.

A Really nice little Mexican restaurant with great ambience and feel inside. I wanted to like it but ordered takeout: the fajita plate, which was listed for a reasonable $14.99 but then I asked about the sour cream and guacamole, the lady on the phone told me there’s a small medium and large. I chose the medium & was surprised when I saw the little suffle~ cup of sour cream for $1.29. I had to walk back in to kindly ask for an additional small cup. Also I asked for flour tortillas and after getting back to the hotel room I find corn tortillas . Also, I was really bummed out after getting 2 different salsas neither of them had any heat. Customerservice was very pleasant and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. So maybe I just ordered and came in at the wrong time.

If you’re in the mood to fight flies this is the place for you. The food is so bland that if a fly landed in your food it may have more flavor. I ordered the queso and it was watery and bland. It’s cheese; how can you mess it up!?!?!?! On top of that they are using frozen baby shrimp for the shrimp entrees. At least try the getting the colossal or jumbo.
