Great service and friendly. Went on a weekday for dinner, was mostly empty. Very near to Santa Monica pier and Third street promenade if you can just take a stroll. Dropped one star just for the taste, although presentation was good, pictures attached. You can park at Santa Monica Place mall, first 90 min free.

Had the HUGE Paper Dosa and a mango lassi.Service was great! I wish the dosa was crisper and the lassi was colder.

This is an amazing Indian food place. The quality of the ingredients is 5 star, cocktails on point, the flavors and dishes are authentic, vouched for by friends born and raised in India. We take all our out of town guests here because it’s a winner! It is a price point on par with the quality, so it is not a buffet style.

They gave just 4 pieces of pani puri for $8 dollars plus tax , i ordered palak paneer nd they charged me 14 dollars for that but the thing is the quantity of food was very less, as compared to the price..as they provided in very small bowl .. also I am sharing some pictures of food and utensils in which they provided us food.. all I can say very bad in taste and very expensive… also money doesn’t matter but they should provide good and fresh food to their customers..

Good, authentic Indian restaurant. It adds a modern sense of sauce, plating, etc. to traditional foods.

I discovered this place in the Michelin guide and thought I would try this Indian that wasn’t run of the mill. Wow ! It’s been a couple years since my tastebuds exploded with so much joy for Indian food. Flavors are strong but are not overpowering, every dish could stand on its own and complemented each other. Even the dessert had that creative audacity that closed the diner on a high note…

Situated right 5 minutes from Santa Monica Pier, tumbi is a very cool vibe. Ngl, it was more fancy that I excepted. We tried the bhelpuri, cheese dosa and channa batura. All of it tasted good. I’ll say it wasn’t extraordinary but definitely a good meal. The ambience in the restaurant was lovely and looked really clean and well lit. The waiter’s were attentive and helpful. Id consider coming back here for a quick bite. Recommend 8/10.

The masala dosa was decent and the chicken malai tikka was flavorful. The stars are less because of the waiter staff, they are rude or possibly don’t know how to handle customers (they come off as unpolished). Otherwise, a cute place and decently priced food!
