This food is ridiculously good!! The only thing I would say is when you have on the menu jumbo shrimp for the gumbo and/or side. Give Jumbo,they were not With that said, this is amazing and can not wait to try everything!!!!

Mac and cheese was over cooked bow tie noodles, burnt cheese and no seasoning, greens had no flavor and container was full of juice barely any greens, shrimp and grits are bland, lumpy and covered in scallions. The website says sautéed greens on top of the greens but it was literally shards of greens, looks as if they were thrown on top to wilt. No flavor whatsoever.. The chicken and shrimp gumbo was missing the shrimp, had huge chunks of peppers and chicken and tasted like gravy. Waste of $70

I do not regret my decision to get ridiculous eatz for lunch. I think I ordered a little bit of everything off the menu. Make sure to get a side of the rice and beans. Catfish was amazing, My 2 year old devoured half of it. Fries reminded me of five guys fries which I love. LETS TALK CORNBREAD. I love their cornbread it’s the sweet kind and MOIST. my husband is still sleeping but I got him the chicken gumbo. Considering how everything else taste I’m sure it’s delicious. Oh and Mac and cheese is definitely homemade and fabulous

If I could eat here every day, I absolutely would! The Chili is my favorite out of any restaurant chili I’ve ever had. Seriously, right below moms homemade on the taste meter. The ultimate chicken sandwich and the breakfast chicken sandwich highly highly recommend checking em out! Next on my list is the fish

Gumbo was not good. The vegetables are tough and not cooked down at all. The roux is too light and the flavors are missing. The quality of the ingredients are trash. I order the shrimp and chicken gumbo and catfish dinner. The chicken looks like chunks of cheap meat and there were only 4 shrimp.

Just had dinner there last night (3-14-23) and it was so good that my wife is singing the praises of the Fried Catfish (her mom was born in LA, we’ve both been to NO LA multiple times) while I chime in about the shrimp gumbo. Portions are large, the proprietor is very friendly and obviously a great cook, and I found the prices reasonable.
