My first trip there with a friend, parking lot was full. About 2/3 of the diningroom was full, but we found a roomy booth. One waitress was working and she didn’t forget a thing. Our food was cooked to order, which gave us time to chat with each other & ask some folks at a nearby table about the history of the restaurant. I ordered their 12 oz. Handcut Rib eye dinner on the medium side of medium rare and it was PERFECTLY cooked, it did have a little more gristle than I would have liked but it was tender, juicy, and flavorful without being overly seasoned. No need for steak sauce!! The mac n cheese was pretty good, and I thoroughly enjoyed the cucumber salad. My friend ordered the catfish plate with onion rings and mashed potatoes/gravy. Real mashed potatoes, not out of a box. He was pleasantly surprised! We both enjoyed our food and the occasional conversation with other tables. We live about 15 miles in the other direction, but will definitely go back.

Excellent food here. This place has some of the BEST steaks that you’ll find anywhere. Extremely tender, well marinated, and cooked perfectly. The grilled chicken here is also wonderful. All of their vegetables are well seasoned, quite a few desserts to pick from, and good portions. Try their banana pudding if you get a chance. It’s WONDERFUL, but only available on Fridays.

This is an excellent place to eat! Probably the best kept secret in St. Clair county. It’s one of those hole in the wall mom and pop joints that has the best home cooked food around. Even though the food is cooked to order, the service is still very quick. I’ve never been disappointed eating here. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are very large. A meat and 3 sides is enough to feed 2 people. Highly recommended.

This a a small, hometown place. Kinda rundown looking, but the health rating is always good. The food is home cooking. I like to get the catfish and whatever veggies catch my eye that day but I have had the pork chops, meatloaf, and steak. They were also tasty.

Yesterday was our first visit. There were 7 of us and we really enjoyed it. Gail and Bobby were very nice. I just wish merchants would quit putting .99 at the end of all their prices. It would be refreshing if instead of .99 just round it off to the next 1.00. We will be likely be regular customers. Thank you.

A wonderful meal that is priced right. Sweet potato casserole is one of my favorites, along with the butter peas. Service is great, too! This is our favorite spot to eat after church on Sundays.
