This place is worth a try! I am picky about my Mexican food having lived in TX for the past 6 years but this place was on point and better than I could of imagined. Great atmosphere, fun staff and the FOOD was delicious! The refried beans and the quesadilla Mexicana were my favorite.

Do not recommend I went to eat in for the first time in 4 months and wow I’m disappointed the food was very UNDER SEASONED the food was mediocre at best the salsa was the only good thing I ate ……the waitress was slow and idk if she was stoned or not because she nearly dropped the food and I had to ask for the same thing on a few occasions because she forgot she was unattentive compared to elreys I went to a year ago this does not compare at all to the difference in quality at this rate I will be surprised if the new El Rey’s is opened in six months. To anyone wanting to try this place out I do not recommend wasting your money here this was the worst experience I’ve ever had in Mexican cuisine

Just had Valentine’s dinner here with my boyfriend, at my request. El Rey never disappoints!! We love the hot, fresh food, margaritas and the great service. The presentation is always a delight, as well. Way to serve, El Rey 🙂
