Small spot tucked off in an old shopping plaza serving good food. Service was quick. A menu item wasn’t available and before I ordered I was offered a higher priced item to replace it. This is a service art form that has been lost. On top of that the fish was fried to perfection the sides of greens and mac & cheese were great. Will be back to try other menu items.

I will not be going back to this place again very disapointed. We ordered a full rack of ribs for $18 and there was only 6 PC’s. I wonder how many do you get in a half rack? 3. The stuff shrimp was not worth $21 the greens had sugar in them and the macand cheese was bland.

First time visiting the new location I ordered the catfish and it became my instant favorite. It’s better than my Grandma’s and I never thought that would be possible. I am obsessed with the string beans. Actually everything on the menu is DELICIOUS. The staff is amazing, very patient when I’m being indecisive. Every time I try something new I’m pleasantly surprised. The owner told me they pride themselves on making tasty low-sodium food which is so important as I suffer from hypertension. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Great Granns!!! They have a customer for life.

I’ve ordered from here on 3 separate occasions and have never had a good experience. My first order one of my items was completely missing despite it being on my receipt and paying for it. 2nd order the fried chicken looked good but i couldn’t eat it due to it tasting like fish most likely due to the grease not being changed. 3rd order my Mac and cheese was basically soup it was so runny and lacked flavor. Extremely disappointed based on the reviews this place had.

Macaroni was good. Fried whiting was over cooked. I was like damn. What meat that was left in it was hard. Though it was a few pieces it was all over fried. I’ll tried them again. But maybe a different entree. I was also looking for a smell of soul food but I didn’t get that. Lol. The woman who took my order was nice. It would be cool if the store had a more welcoming feel. I miss when it was on North Ave really.

These were not wings they gave me more like baby chicks… only went here once and this was a big turn off. I’ve had better wings at domino’s. My daughter said her food was good so they get 2 stars instead of 1. But then the service was not the best.

Went this evening and was very disappointed. Looking at the reviews & pics we were truly looking forward to it. The mac & cheese was mushy, noodles overcooked, no cheese no flavor. Yams we overseasoned but not sweet and dark. Fish had been sitting, chicken was battered well bit no seasoning. Every customer’s order was incorrect or missing something that was ordered. Did not add pics just too disappointed. Waste of $40. One & done
