Just a simple Mexican restaurant with a regularly-tasting meal, staff is nice as well. Yet nothing what you’ll tell your grandchildren about. I had enchiladas de pollo, and they both looked and tasted good, but not somewhat to be named “best enchiladas I ever had”. Definitely worth trying if you are in the area – you won’t get disappointed (but probably won’t be ecstatic as well).

I’ve eaten here many times. The prices are outstanding. The food is incalculably good. Parking is available on site. Park right next door. Visit and eat without having to tip a server. It’s fantastic and worth your patronage. Go to El sabor de Puebla now.

The food is soooo good. Had the emoladas and Asada tacos. Everything so fresh and tasty, and seasoned perfectly. The mole sauce!!! Great service and the atmosphere is fun. We looked up the Mexican villages named on the furniture as we waited for our meal. We live in the neighborhood and count this restaurant as a local GEM.

Wow REAL street tacos in Madison? Lived here 5 years and I’ve tried it all….this little spot is the real deal. Salsas are great. Pastor and Asada were stand outs. Freshly fried chips. Chefs kiss.

We were looking for a kid-friendly Mexican restaurant on the way downtown for Cinco de Mayo, and this fit the bill perfectly! What better place to celebrate the Battle of Puebla? The food was sooo good! The mole con pollo is everything this dish should be: fragrant, flavorful, complex. The chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender. All the other dishes we ordered exceeded expectations, too. The restaurant isn’t fancy, and you have to know it’s there, but it is so worth it. Great value, too. 5/5 would recommend; will definitely go back!

Fifth time here and I still think it’s one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants around the entire metro area. Parking out front is easy to access and handicap parking makes it accessible to those in need. They have out-door seating for those that wish to enjoy the outdoors. I’ve had the steak platter, pork tacos, tamales, mole, and couple other dishes, all f them have been the best flavor and generous portions. The tacos are gigantic, you will love them!!! The steak was pretty good and cooked to perfection, not much fat but still plenty of taste for your taste buds.

Confession: I went here 3 days in a week. Monday, I got a quick lunch of chorizo, spinach & mushroom quesadillas (so good!) I came back the next day for the Taco Tuesday special. Then, I dropped by on Thursday for the special on tamales to add to our family dinner. All I can say is fast service, quality food and good prices!

We experienced El Sabor De Puebla at the Taste of Madison this year. This is the best mole I’ve had outside of Mexico and the tamales were FIRE. 10/10 would recommend.

This is the best Mexican food I’ve had in Madison. I had vegetarian tamales and my date had a delicious shrimp dish. I love the wooden booths with carvings representing Mexican towns. Will definitely take out of town friends here. Can’t wait to try their elote.
