We’ve frequented hungry hobo for years. We didn’t want to leave a bad review because we love their food so much but lately every time we go it seems like they give us less and less fries. Seriously, it’s half the amount they used to give you and half of them are usually burnt and not very fresh. They’ve forgotten cheese sauce multiple times. Last time we went there we ordered a chocolate cake slice to share. It didn’t taste as great as usual and again was maybe a little more than half of the usual size. Sadly we agree hobo (all locations, this is just the one we go to the most) are going downhill.

This was my first time coming. Service was absolutely the worst.

This location was extremely efficient! We didn’t wait more than 5-10 minutes for our entire dine-in order. Hot, fresh and delicious! Everything I expect from a long-standing Quad Cities institution!

Waited way too long for food. Whole order of fries completely burnt and inedible. Very rude employee, no napkins Or spoon In bag, ice in drink when we said no ice lol

Ordered a tuna sub and a roast beef sub . The taste was just ok. Both subs were assembled pretty sloppily and they fell apart while eating them.

Terrible service, door says dining open until 3, it is never open and they’ll have the door unlocked and wait until you’ve been standing at the counter for 6 minutes to tell you, you have to order in the drive through. Always closed when they say they are open.

On my second visit, I increase my rating. The first time I came here a year ago was awful; I waited 45 minutes in the drive-thru with an apathetic server at the end. This time I went inside and had a MUCH better experience. Much nicer staff, and better service. Perhaps not doing drive-thru is the way to go here. Hopefully my rating improves on my next visit.

Waited in drive-thru for at least fifteen minutes. The Sandwich was dry they only put mayo on one half of the sandwich and the bread was stale.

Seriously disappointed!!! Ordered online due to a fussy baby and went in to pick it up. Was a few minutes over the time it was supposed to be done to walking in and having them still preparing it. That is fine…however as they were making my sandwich I seen it wasn’t made correctly. Upon getting my food I opened it up and let them know it wasn’t right. Simmy came out from behind the counter to ask what wasn’t right. Her tone was very unprofessional as she told me someone didn’t write it down correctly even though the chit on the bag had my order. I just already had been waiting 10 to 15 minutes inside and over the time of pick up. She said sorry…we were having problems with our CO2 in quite a tone.

I used to love Hungry Hobo. They were quick and efficient at the old location. At this new location there has always been an issue. Today, I ordered online. It said it would be ready in 30 minutes. I ordered at 11:30 am I get it is a busy time for them so I was there a little before noon. I pulled into the curbside spot. The sign says to contact them to let them know you are there. Well, you can’t call them between 11-1 pm and there’s no way through app to let them know either. The lady in the drive through kept making eye contact with me. I presumed she may let someone know I was there to pick up an order. I waited about 10 minutes after 12 pm and then I went in. I got inside. My order ticket was on the counter and not even started, when it was to be picked up ready at noon, so ten minutes after noon it hadn’t been started yet. The service rep. finally had them start making my order. The place did have a bit of a lunch rush, but the staff was in no hurry. They will get you your order at their pace. If you have 15-20 minutes for lunch. I’d skip this stop. When I finally got my order I had a sandwich that was wrong and no cheese with my cheddar fries. I’m glad I went through the bag. Maybe next year I’ll try again. But I will not be returning anytime soon.
