We are new to the area and have been looking for a good Asian food spot. This is it for me. Kids love sushi and I can get the items I love at one spot.

Ok so I tried this place today for the first time and wanted to like it due to it’s proximity. my first impression when i walked in was not that great as it is part storage area and part day care and looks a bit run down, but was still willing to give it a try. i ordered the sushi lunch special 3 roll combo (shrimp tempura roll, tuna roll and California roll) and from the lunch special i ordered the kung pao chicken. My initial reaction was hey, great portion size, very generous, large soups, and very decent looking sushi, well constructed, fresh looking, and this is what transpired: the sushi was good, surprisingly so, i like the way it was made and the presentation was great. it was good. the miso soup was cold so i didn’t eat it due to health concerns. next onto the hot and sour soup which came with the combo, hot enough to eat, and was good. egg roll was as to be expected, typical, cabbage inside and by the time you get it home kind of lost it’s crisp, as if it ever had it. but the real disappointment was that the tiny pieces of dark meat chicken in what looked like a great dish were so heavily batter dipped that the pieces were like biting into marshmallows. i pulled apart some of the pieces to try to identify the size of the chicken inside and it was 70% batter. in all of my travels, i have never come across batter dipped kung pao chicken. like it was mini pieces of general taos or something. it is never batter dipped. what the heck. it was inedible. and i just got sweet and sour chicken from china wok which was 80% tempura batter so this just added insult to injury. not sure if it is worth going back for sushi, but i would not order from the Chinese part of the menu again. i threw away everything but about five peanuts i picked out and 3 or 4 bites of rice and the rest went into the trash. oh well, now i know

Red Bowl used to be our favorite Chinese Takeout. In the last year it has gone downhill significantly both in service (wait times) and changes in the food. Our most recent meal will make me not return. I can deal with waiting for good food, but when everything is overcooked or lacking flavor you’ve lost my business.

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants but the food I got tonight was horrible and had to be thrown away. Ordered chicken with mixed vegetables and general tso’s chicken both with wonton, everything was burnt. Pretty sure the guy absorbed in his game on his cell phone was the one in charge of cooking considering I asked for a set of chopsticks, the woman working the register sent him to get them and he never even took his eyes off the game he was playing as he walked back to where the chopsticks are and proceeded to stand there forcing the female employee to have to go get them.

I pulled a STAPLE out of my mouth while eating my (very bland) General Tao’s Shrimp.

Long time customers-but it looks like this is the end for us. Mushy rice and egg rolls paired with tasteless entrees. Very sad!

This is my favorite restaurant. I always order ahead and the time referenced for pickup is always right on schedule.

We’ve been coming here for a while because it’s the closest Chinese restaurant to us, but after a recent experience I’ll be trying other places. The food is fine and the prices/portions are good, about what you’d expect for Chinese takeout. What’s not good is the carryout experience, where I’ve often had to wait for my food to be ready beyond the estimated times they provide. My most recent visit was the worst yet. I walked in a few minutes after my order was supposed to be ready. Nobody was at the cash register and I had to wait over 15 minutes before someone acknowledged my presence and took my payment. There’s a small window into the kitchen area and I stood in the line of sight to try to make eye contact or wave at someone but had no luck, the kitchen staff were mostly on their phones as far as I could tell. I believe my food was ready the whole time, so it was just sitting there getting cold while I waited.

I loved the sushi! I got the California roll and the Shrimp Tempura roll. Both very good! I also got the chicken lo mein which was really good and white meat chicken. I also got the chicken fried rice, the fried rice could use a little more sauce it was almost like white rice with veggies and chicken but still tasted good I just added my own soy sauce to it. All of this food was less than $30! I can’t wait to try more Chinese dishes and I will be ordering the same sushi rolls plus more again.
