We stopped in while we were in the area. The restaurant had an outdoor seating area so we opted to enjoy our lunch there. We ordered loaded fries and fried pickles for the table to share. The fries were delicious. The fried pickles were chunks but the ratio surprisingly worked. We were pleased with the side salad which included crisp lettuce. We also ordered the chicken fingers with Brussels sprouts and slaw. The chicken was good, the sprouts were absolutely amazing, and the slaw had a good flavor but was a little on the dry side. Overall it was a refreshing find of a lunch spot.

I was hoping based on the reviews that we would’ve gotten something to review. I love the atmosphere, however, for three of us to eat it took an hour to get our food, and there was only one other table in the restaurant. The burgers were all over cooked. Probably wouldn’t return Northeast, which is unfortunate because it’s a very nice quaint little restaurant.

Living in Tampa Bay, I’ve had many a fish taco. The Iron Fork hands down has the very BEST fish tacos anywhere. Every plate that passed my table looked delicious as well. Not to mention the great service and friendly staff too. Make sure you put the Iron Fork on your destination list when you are in the Lake Oconee area.

2022-10 update: Still a great place for food, and service are excellent. We had lunch today that included a chef salad, loaded chez fries, and a hamburger steak with fried okra and squash casserole. Parking is readily available. Nice atmosphere and a very quaint bar at the entrance.

A favorite place. I ordered the Southern sandwich which is fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese& bacon on a brioche roll. Very good! Service was excellent! Also very good is the fried shrimp or pork chops dinners. Yum!

This farm to fork restaurant has a nice atmosphere, pleasant staff, and very good food. Our food was prepared and presented well. Our waitress, Kelsie, explained all the specials to us and took care to check on us throughout our meal. The menu is pretty extensive for a small restaurant. Our overall experience was excellent.
