Really enjoyed dinner here. Had a couple cocktails, the marinated olives, charred broccoli rabe, beef tartare, tarte forestière and chocolate mousse. Cocktails were pretty good and surprisingly (for Bentonville) not overly sweet. Tartare and broccoli rabe were two of the best plates I’ve had in town and made me sure that I’d be back to try others, but the tarte was disappointing and keeps me at 4, not 5 stars. I wouldn’t describe this tarte as a tarte, it’s just a thin flatbread with cheese and mushrooms. It was good for what it was, but not a tarte. Finished the meal with the mousse, it was an excellent PUDDING, or a pot de crème, but not a mousse…similar to Lady Slipper’s “mousse.”

Bar Cleeta is my partner and I’s go to for our anniversaries. It is centrally located. Privately owned and efficiently operated. The space itself is warm and rarely crowded. Each dish is obviously made with skilled intent and the menu has changed each time we have gone. Small plates here, so you get to try many things and experiment with pairings from a fabulous wine selection. The owners are very sweet. This is an experience for any special occasion.

I’ve been to Bar Cleeta for numerous occasions – large groups to intimate meals. This is the place to go for the best service in NWA. Some girlfriends and I wanted to keep our conversation going, so they generously let our group of 9 come in at nearly 10 pm and order wine. The food her is always divine and great portions for the price.

Excellent customer service from our server! Very good drinks and vibe in Bentonville, Arkansas with shared plate dining. Our favorite dishes were the Spanish octopus and crispy bacon. We love that this spot was opened by a husband-and-wife team and an Arkansas native. This was our first trip to Bentonville and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality flavors!

The Chef’s View
I will have to say the delicious raw oysters with a mignonette was my fave! The beet risotto came in second but truly there wasn’t a bad thing on the menu! They have an extraordinary wine list and the cocktails were not bad either. My only constructive criticism would be to ease off the vinegar salt run on the potatoes with the octopus, other than that, not much else to say. A great place to share a bunch of small nibbles with chic atmosphere.

Love, love, love! All-around best experience for atmosphere and quality. If you are looking for sharables with friends, fabulous service, specialty cocktails, a superior wine experience (best list ever!) you have to try Bar Cleeta. I’m a wine girl and it’s one of the only places in town where I will venture out for a cocktail. Also, if you like oysters you know it’s all about location and the shuck :). I’ve never been disappointed and can always count on Bar Cleeta to deliver the best oysters in Bentonville. Each dish is a surprise on a plate. Always beautiful and absolutely delicious. The menu changes seasonally and the staff is always there to impress through their knowledge of ingredients and the perfect pairing. Hands down best service and food in Northwest Arkansas.

Tankful Travels
To begin, we went with a cabernet franc and an Old Fashion along with the Chef’s choice, three cheeses board. It came with crostini and rosemary-infused honey. Amazing start to a delicious meal! For entrees, we first shared campanelle with garlic confit, black truffle and maitake mushrooms. At first bite you know you’re eating fresh pasta. Incredible! Next we shared the polenta with lamb ragu. This was also delicious and the pomegranate was a surprise twist. To wrap up the meal, we ended with horchata ice cream with rice puff bridle. This was the perfect combination of upscale ice cream, light and delicious, with a little crisp of a childhood memory. Highly recommend.

Here in Bentonville for a cycling trip and stumbled into a slice of perfection at Bar Cleeta. We just had time for two things: a beef tartare dish and an amazing torchon of foie gras. What a gem. Do not miss if you are here in NW Arkansas!
