While we were there for lunch and it is “order at the counter”, the service at the counter and food/beverage delivery were exceptional. Then, there is the food. It is done of the most authentic food we’ve had, including Italian food in Italy. I heartily recommend people give Gemelli a try.

We tried Gemelli a week ago, and really loved it! It’s surprisingly upscale for the shopping center it’s in, but still somewhere you could go dressed casually. I had the Gemelli pasta and the Caesar salad, and they were both excellent – packed with layers of flavor. I’ll definitely go back again!! And soon. (Edit: been back twice in a month, and the food is a 10/10 every time. The focaccia is more prominently featured on the menu, but try the ciabatta – it’s such excellent garlic bread!!)

Fantastic! We had been missing a great Italian place in Asheville since the closing of Chiesa. This place makes everything they can from scratch and boy you can tell! We got the gemelli insalata, tartare, and the cacio e pepe. Absolutely outstanding. Great service as well. This is now the new best Italian spot in Asheville.

First time eating here as we live in FL, but we visit Asheville yearly and love going to Strada so when we heard they opened this sister restaurant, we were so excited! We walked into Gemelli’s and were met by the wonderful worker, Pam who took our order before we sat down at a table of our choosing. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning, with low, lovely music playing. And the food. THE FOOD. I had the Pane Italiano and I nearly fainted from how good it was. My sister is allergic to gluten and thoroughly enjoyed her gluten sensitive carbonara with gluten sensitive focaccia. We shared the rosemary fries which were also amazing. Can’t wait to come back during our next sister trip.

I’ve eaten dinner and lunch at Gemelli. The pasta we had was homemade. The lamb sausages are made in house. We had Pane Italiano which was delicious and extravagantly rich. There are many Gluten Free options. Try the house wines they are very pleasant.

I was really excited to try Gemelli’s and made a Saturday evening reservation during restaurant week. I had looked at the special menu online and was excited to try it. I don’t like writing negative reviews, but unfortunately the food did not live up to the wonderful descriptions on the menu. Hopefully it was an off night and others have had better experiences, but it was not so for us.
