I have LOVED CUBBIE’S since DAY 1! Partner and I, both, had the large cheeseburger, all the way (mustard, chili, onions, and Cole slaw)…the ONLY way to have a cheeseburger we split a side of fries and washed it down with fresh iced tea (half & half).

Fried Shrimp and Chicken Tenders… Amazing! Onion rings spot on. Hot Dogs are Southern Red and flat top grilled, get with chili and cheese. This diner has been around for 35+ years with regulars dating back to day Number 1. PRO-TIP: Ths delicious offering is CASH ONLY. They have an ATM on premises.

Tried this place for the first time tonight and was incredibly disappointed. Ordered the hamburger plate, asked for no mushrooms but still got them anyway. I can deal with that, but what I can’t deal with was the fact that literally the only things that had seasoning was the prepackaged butter and heinz ketchup. The hamburger had no flavor, gravy was too starchy and had no flavor, the mash potatoes tasted like it had no seasoning. The only saving grace of this place was the service. If you want flavor, I think you’d be better off licking the asphalt outside. The food honestly looked and tasted like I was in Britain and the Germans were still flying over. I don’t know, maybe I caught them on an off night or something because all the other reviews are great but if I had no human decency I would have dined and dashed because I didn’t even want to eat it after trying everything.

I’m only giving it 2 stars because I enjoyed my burger as it’s been years since I’ve had one but I believe I was overcharged. I got 2 double cheeseburgers, one single burger, an order of fries, an order of hushpuppies, one lemonade and one 1/2 lemonade 1/2 orangeade and they charged me $46. The cook said the double burger was $12 by itself. I find that unbelievable! So check your stuff, double check the prices. I’m starting to wonder if they pocketed some of my money.
