It was a nice outing. The service was exceptional. We got plenty of attention and the waiter and the manager were paying attention to what was happening. The food was good. Try bakes ricotta- you will be surprised. Elk was beautifully cooked, however the sauce was spicy for no good reason. Since elk is dry, I would have expected some buttery or creamy sauce to offset the dryness. Signature cocktail of the night were pretty special. Thank you

By far the best meal we ate on vacation! I have Celiac and eat gluten free. They were very accommodating and suggested several dishes for us. We ordered the elk and the wedge salad. Both were amazing! And don’t skip the truffle tater tots. So good! Also have a great cocktail list.

Had the meatball app, perfectly cooked and excellent flavor. Followed that with the spicy chicken sandwich. Full of flavor, crunchy outside and tender inside. Had a layer of coleslaw which was delicious. Not too much mayo which can kill any slaw. Fries, thick cut and beautifully golden. Service was excellent.

If your in the area, do this. We did a walk-in but luckily it was early enough, so do a reservation if you can. Let’s start with the drinks, I had the bohemian raspberry and he had the up in smoke, awesome, truffle tater tot app, the server was right, you can just binge. Then the meal. Omg. I had the lamb chop which was amazing if you like lamb. He had the elk. The smoked mash was such a new experience and I love it. So amazing. Our server was amazing, all was amazing. Can’t rave about this place enough. Our meal was fantastic, drinks were excellent, service was impeccable, and the atmosphere made our meal catching up with friends intimate and comfortable. I’d recommend everything we ate- warm beet salad, wedge salad, truffled tater tots, Rocky Mountain Bolognese, Tri-Tip, Pork chop, and the Elk Tenderloin medallions which were our favorite. Everything was grilled to perfection and as ordered. The drink special I had was so good, I ordered it twice. Prices are on the higher end of what we had in Frisco, but absolutely appropriate for the lovely meal we had. We enjoyed everything so much, we flagged the manager down to pass on our experience to the staff.

Personally, it is very difficult for me to find restaurants to try in this area. I’m from Las Vegas, so if a place is good, they’d have thousands of reviews. So we decided to make a reservation to Tavern West on Christmas eve as it was our travel day. Didn’t really expect much other than I see they served duck and I love duck.

Booked a reservation with Tavern West because a colleague recommended it & I am so thankful I did! The atmosphere was immaculate, service was amazing and the food, out of this world delicious. We came for a Bachelor party weekend & this is one of the best meals we have had during our time in Frisco. The food was amazing ! I ordered the wood grilled salmon and my husband the elk bison Bolognese pasta and both dishes were unbelievably delicious. Drinks were awesome and good prices. The happy hour from 4-6pm was a plus for sure (we didn’t know). Our waitress was the best.
