An absolute GEM of an ice cream shop. The staff is warm, friendly and super helpful. The ice cream is fantastic. You just don’t see places like this anymore. My husband grew up going here and is so glad that he was able to take our kids there for treats even though he moved from Teaneck long ago.

Loved it! Fantastic ice cream! I had the “Teaneck Special” with black raspberry and coffee royal ice cream (pictured) and my hubby had a banana split. Delicious! Employees were friendly and engaging. Just a cute, little old-fashioned ice cream shoppe! We’ll definitely be back!

Bischoffs has been our go to ice cream spot and we celebrate every occasion with their delicious ice cream cakes! The best milkshakes too! We have been going there for three generations now and hope to continue the tradition!

My first experience here was wonderful. However, I ordered a heavenly hash ice cream cake for my mother a couple of weeks ago and it was not good. The whipped cream icing tasted as if it had been in the refrigerator for weeks and weeks and it turned out to be Rocky road ice cream instead of the heavenly hash that I ordered. I called and spoke to Steve and he said the icing was probably sour. Shouldn’t they have tasted it before they put it on the cake? He is willing to make good on the cake but the birthday is over and my disappointment can’t be fixed. I drove 45 minutes because they’re the only store that I could find that offers heavenly hash ice cream and then they gave me Rocky road. And for those of you that don’t know heavenly hash ice cream is supposed to have almonds, chocolate chips and marshmallow sauce not almonds and little marshmallows. I don’t even think I’m going back for them to make good on it it’s probably not going to be worth the trip.

If you do not know what homemade ice cream tastes like, then you NEED to visit Bischoff’s. Butter Peacan is my favorite, but they have a whole list of flavors. Try them ALL. These guys have been around since 1939, they know what they are doing. Family friendly neighborhood ice cream shoppe. Go visit. Teaneck NJ, they are worth the trip.
