Wow!! Everything was phenomenal! Absolutely phenomenal! Rib tips oh so tender, the cornbread…… OH MY GOODNESS THE CORNBREAD!!!! So moist, buttery and sweet, but not too sweet. If I had to rate to costumer service from Steel Yard Wal Mart- Chic fil a, I rate it a solid 5 Chic fil a’s! Everything was outstanding!

Had the beef brisket with mac & cheese and green beans a few months back. It was excellent!! I was afraid the brisket portion would be skimpy–but to my great surprise it was not! Plus, it was moist and tender. I loved the mac & cheese as well, and the green beans were fine. I’m a big guy and I was full after this dinner. I’ll definitely put this place on my favorites list. I found the service was fast and pleasant–a 180 degree difference from the previous tenant at this location (B&M Barbecue).

While not the best choice of name, the food is pretty solid. Sides range from wonderful (fried green tomatoes) to not worth getting again (sweet corn), but most are closer to the fried green tomato side of the chart. The BBQ itself is fine, not the best in town, but solid and enjoyable.

This place…is the BUSINESS. This place has some of the BEST food I’ve had in VERY VERY long time. The service is friendly and VERY WELCOMING! All the food is well seasoned. I am an INSTANT fan. The BBQ is fall off the bone tenderness and the sauce is wonderful!

Several visits to Sides to Go and the food is consistently great, especially the chicken wings. I also love the Mac and Cheese as well as Black Eye Peas. Awesome service and clean environment. I highly recommend.

Sides to NO!!!! I ordered the one meat and three sides meal. I ordered Pickle fries, Jo Jo’s and mashed potato and Carolina Pulled Pork for $12.99. I got 5 tiny Jo Jo’s (Wendy’s fries are bigger) 7 pickle fries which were the size of a Burger kings fry, a small scoop of mashed potatoes which was smaller than an actual potato, and plain pulled pork with a small cup of sauce to dump on. It was horrible for the price. The only good thing was the tiny square of cornbread. I would never buy again based on the portions for 12.99. I could get better quality and bigger portions for 12.99.

Very Disappointed! Patronized Southgate location 4x, 2 out of the 4x I have been served dried out meat (bourbon chicken, smoke turkey rib). Today (1/13/18) I specifically asked “is the smoke rib dry or old”, reply was “No, these are good”. Well, no wonder I was offered anyone of their specialty sauces, because the texture of the rib was like leather or jerky. I called to let them know #1 I don’t appreciate being lied to and #2 the meal is too expensive to be served B.S. I’ll be back for my “make-up order or a refund” but definitely won’t be spending anymore money with deliberate in your face liars. Shame because they come across as good folks with friendly service… smh.

Great pulled pork sandwich, great cornbread, great fountain soda options (better than the typical place’s Coke/Pepsi stuff). The name of this place makes it sound like KFC or something, but it’s a hundred times better than that. If you like a lot of bbq sauce on your pulled pork, ask for extra, they were happy to give us plenty (but the pork was really good even by itself).
