The absolute BEST southern soul food restaurant I’ve EVER eaten at! Every single person working spoke to us and asked how we were doing. The food was incredibly delicious! The best fried chicken I’ve ever tasted. I cannot say enough about how great this place is. If you’re looking for good ole southern cooking this is the spot for you!!

They are open for breakfast on Fridays and Saturdays. Coffee was great…hot and fresh. French toast, hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, biscuits-n-gravy, sausage patties…all amazing. Super friendly service. Can’t wait to go back for dinner.

After reading such great reviews I loaded my kids up and drove over 30 minutes to try this place out for dinner. When we walked in we waited at the counter for 5-10 min while employees just kept walking by us and not even acknowledging us. After finally getting seated we waited another 5 minutes before someone came over to us to give us menus after a group walked in after us to be immediately seated and asked about drinks and apps. I’m kids orders Mac N Cheese as an entree and we were told they would be receiving a side unless ordered separately. When the food came out their Mac n cheese was a small scoop in a tiny side dish bowl. When we left they asked if they could get something else because they were still hungry and my son said his was dry. My country fried steak had a slimy texture so I didn’t eat anymore after my first bite. At one point a woman who I assume was the owner asked if we were done with the ketchup because it was needed at another table. We will not be returning to say the least. This was a severely disappointing experience. Abby our server was nice and about the only good thing about this visit.

The staff is nice. I had the chopped steak & it tasted like season-less meatloaf & I don’t like meatloaf, seasoned or not & this was not. My favorite flavor of dessert is Key Lime, then chocolate. I had the Key Lime cake & after 2 bites, I couldn’t take it anymore. It tasted soggy & not much key lime flavor. I didn’t want to try the chocolate because of how the key lime cake was made. I understand this restaurant is in the Biblebelt, but I’m not keen on the gospel music. It feels old & dark as it is, so that particular music makes it even more depressing. This is my opinion, so I won’t be visiting this place again.

Soooooo good!!! I’ve tried the fried pork chop, fried chicken and chicken and dumplins. All were absolutely delicious! The green beans, mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese were just as good! This is one of my favorite places to call ahead and pick up on the way home from work as it takes them a moment to prepare everything. Good southern cooking at its best!
