I’m from Chicago. I’ve had a lot of pizza. This is hands down the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. The combination of sausage, peppers, cheese and woodfiring is unbeatable on my pizza. Whichever one you order it will have loads of toppings, just the right amount of cheese, perfect crust. It was hard to stop eating and save half for tomorrow. Whatever kind of pizza you order will be great. I unreservedly recommend Zara’s. You won’t be sorry.

I live like 2 blocks away and have been wanting to try this place for a while. I finally went over this past weekend and my family and I had a great experience. The waitress was attentive, the manager or owner was welcoming, making sure we had a nice experience. It was quiet and not so packed. And the pizza was really good to me. Good amount of sauce, cheesy, enough toppings, thin and not so doughy with s very crunchy crust. My kids liked it as well. So it’s a 5 in my books. I’ll be ordering from here again.

I wanted to try their pizzas for a long time. Finally I had the chance to go and I’m glad I did. They have a lot of good options, hard to decide, I ordered one called “il giardino”, so good and with a lot of toppings on a tasty dough. Decent prices and one 12″ pizza is good for 2 or three people. Great server, a quiet evening and they played every song I like. Magic! I’m coming back soon.

Dined in. We were immediately greeted and sat at a booth. Our waitress immediately took our drinks and shortly our order. We ordered caprese salad, a margarita pizza, and mozzarella sticks. The food was great! Our waitress was very tentative and friendly. Will be eating here again!

We had dinner here last night after the NIU SteelBand concert (which everyone should see) while waiting for our EV to charge across the street. I am so glad we went out to that part of town. The restaurant was nicely decorated and the staff was warm and friendly. I got the Il Giardino pizza, loaded with vegetables. I wasn’t sure it was actually wood fired but I saw the stack of firewood behind the restaurant and sure enough, it came out with the thin chewy crispy crust I know and love. My husband got the Fettucine Alfredo with chicken and said it was very good. The prices are reasonable compared to wood fired pizzas closer to home. I saw the calzone, which looked delicious and was huge. If we lived closer we would be here all the time.

The highlight of the experience is the crust which is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The rest of the experience is good, not great. The sauce is adequate and the toppings are sufficient. A 12” pizza with three toppings is $16. I guess that is inflation for you. I’m interested to try the large 18” size or the calzones to see if they are a better deal.
