Fun and authentic saloon bar with plenty of seating, friendly staff, and decent pricing. The ends/tips came highly rated and they are great. Note that they are deep fried rather than slow roasted, but they’re still a treat.

If you like home cooking this restaurant is the closest you’ll come to getting a home cooked meal. The lightly battered steak tips are phenomenal and cooked perfectly. They also throw their veggies on the grill to give them a nice flavor. All around a great place with some good old homestyle dishes. Friendly staff, clean and nice environment.

Nice place. We were hungry and headed from devils tower to north dakota… The beef tips were good, a little salty but good. The burger was gobbled up and the chicken fried steak melt hit the spot. Highly recommend… If your in the area.

I don’t normally brag up restaurants, but this place was pretty incredible. We stopped here on the way back to Rapid City from Devils tower. I’d say that if you are within 45 minutes of this place and have never tried it, then it is worth the drive. Beef tips and roast beef were both the best I’ve had. I could see where some people may not like the beef tip marinade, but I thought it was outstanding. They brought me a knife with my roast beef meal…not sure why though because it was so tender that you just break it into bite sized pieces with your fork. Sides were great, and service wa outstanding. It took us a bit to figure this out, but we had to pay at the register. You may want to clarify that part with your server when they bring the bill to the table. Not sure if that’s typical or maybe just because we got there at a non-peak time.

Bloody Mary’s were awesome. The steak tips were delicious. I like them well done, and they were so tender! Everything we ordered was so good. Complimentary warm cookies topped off a great meal. Loved the clean bathrooms!!

Great service and food. They do the mom and pop eatery right. Everyone in my party had the Rancher steak tips and we were loving the succulent flavor and perfect steak temp. It came we a home made breadstick that was hit and a wonderful taste. Definitely will be going back!

The best steak tips you will find anywhere. Their steaks are aged hand-cut in house. The grilled vegetables are a wonderful touch and their homemade chili is good too. They have a full service bar with seasonal original cocktails. The service is excellent and everyone’s friendly. Super chill little western bar. All around a great place if you are in the area and even worth a 2 hour trip.

It’s a great place to eat; their lunch specials are good and a great price! They always give a bit of dessert after your meal, usually a cookie. It’s a pleasant surprise; who does that? Only American West as far as I know. The owners are usually present and visit with their guests. It’s a clean, welcoming place to enjoy a meal.

I took my kids here they loved it! was great experience, owner even came out and greeted us service was excellent. I enjoyed the blt and my favorite part was i asked for soft bacon and got it other restaurants give me rock hard bacon. I’ll definitely go back.
