Nice casual restaurant, not upscale. Family diner feel to me with small to medium dining room. Bar area was crowded. Nice basic menu with steaks and seafood being the specialty. Good salad and warm rolls. This is the 2nd time we ate here and the food and service was very good both times.

Well……the cocktails are good and the happy hour prices are right. My recommendation is if it isn’t deep fried don’t order it. The broiled fish offerings are grey and smelly, pork chops swimming in brown gravy and the steaks are palatable. Deep fried catfish, deep fried onion rings, deep fried hush puppies and deep fried French fries….yum. Didn’t try the bowl offerings, like the red beans and rice or the jambalaya. Maybe we missed the mark, we will try those next time.

My first experience at Mr. B’s was 10/26/19. Oh my Loved it. Yes it’s a lil pricey for decor and ambience. Five star prices. Five star food. It was excellent. The decor and ambiance didn’t match the food or the price. However the food every single thing was really really good. I had the crab claws. Oh my goodness the best I’ve ever had. The were better the one at Papadeaux’s The shrimp oh my. They were amazing.

This place was recommended so I took 3 out of town friends here. Big mistake. The food was horrible. The catfish was paper thin, burnt to a crisp, and bordered on the flavor of burnt motor oil. The hush puppies, resembling small marbles, tasted bland. A loaded baked potato, dry and also tasteless, came with one small butter, a pinch of cheese, and chopped onions. The salad must have been left over from the last millennium, dry and rubbery. Oh, I forgot to mention, exaggerated pricing. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place.

Really good fried shrimp. They were large and not just all breading. Service was good, wasnt too busy on a Thursday nite. One 9f my pet peeves in a restaurant is loud music. Mister Bs had low volume but enuff to hear, good selection, too

I’m out of town and no dog in the fight and hands down one of the best places I have been. Father had a steak you could cut with a butter knife and I only needed a fork to eat the most tender thickest pork chop in the world. I will be back each trip. Chip one of the friendliest bar tenders I have run into. Makes out of towners feel like locals.

The pork chop just melts in your mouth….. the side dishes were all great and don’t forget to order an appetizer of either cup of gumbo or crawfish etouffee .(my favorite)

The catfish was good. Our kids are gluten intolerant. The workers weren’t too familiar with that but they we’re very helpful in choosing options that were good for our family. It’s too expensive for us to go more than a few times a year but we will go back.

GREAT Food!! Just great. We don’t go there often because we live in Midtown BUT it’s so worth the drive.
