On our way home from Sebastopol recently, my wife and I stopped by the Marlow Rd Mary’s Pizza Shack. The restaurant has a warm and cozy atmosphere. My wife ordered Chicken Parmigiana and I had the Spaghetti and giant meatball lunch. The meals came with salad and warm toasted French bread. Everything was delicious. Though Mary is no longer with us, her legacy lives on in the many Pizza Shack’s using her formula for success, providing great Italian comfort food along with exceptional service.

My friend and I went here for lunch today. It was super good. I had the Mary’s salad and some pesto cheese ravioli. It was delicious. She got the minestrone soup and pesto rigatoni. I am obsessed with there raspberry iced tea. It just is so refreshing and make me happy. I love going here with all the variety of foods and it’s fun to mix it up each time. Great Italian comfort food. Love all Mary’s locations. The staff are friendly and the food is great. They’ve made outdoor dining for Covid restrictions, and parking is usually open at this location. Some favorites at Mary’s are chicken parmesan, garlic bread, spaghetti & meatballs and their sandwiches. Also the desserts are delicious. Mary’s is also great for small parties and take-out. They accommodate kids and families and give coloring sheets for kids to draw on.

I was born and raised in Sonoma on the original Mary’s Pizza. However this last experience was extremely disappointing. A Large Meatball pizza($30) and a dinner salad($15) take-out $50. Pizza crust was almost raw in the middle, and it was like they took and crumbled part of a meatball on it.

It was a cold night out, inside it was freezing so I didn’t enjoy my dinning experience. They even left the door open to bring in umbrellas and such to close up and it created a draft. They were not near closing time and the restaurant was pretty full. While we were trying to enjoy dinner they were busy closing outside and couldn’t get napkins till our dinner was over.
