We had the Duck Fat Fries. They were nice. We didn’t appreciate the truffle aioli on them. We would not have this again. Next was the Pork Chop. It was perfectly cooked and had a nice flavor. The green beans were delicious. Lots of flavors to them. I had bread pudding and it had ice cream on top. The waiter said it would be 10 minutes as it was made fresh. Not true at all. It had no taste. Well except for old bread. There was no real flavor it was extremely dry. I only ate the ice cream. My husband had the cookie dough cheesecake. He said it was nice. We sat outside. It was very pleasant. Very expensive. $45 for a pork chop. We have never paid that much for a pork chop.

Loved the outdoor seating here! Our service was great! Got an orange crush, refreshing. Steak frites, medium rare. All good, steak was cooked well. My wife got a variety. Fries, Brussel sprouts, and the focatia bread. Sprouts had way to much maple syrup. Rest was good. Great place to visit.

Elegant yet casual dining. Very cool atmosphere with open air seating (during good weather). Service was excellent. Tri tip steak sandwich was well seasoned and tasty. Duck fat fries were ridiculously good. Plenty of beers on tap and a full bar is available. I indulge in cheesecake often when it is offered. The cookie cheesecake for desert was the best cheesecake I have ever had. I highly recommend reservations.

This is a great find. The atmosphere in the service are fantastic. Locations great sitting out over lake and they have a nice patio when the weather’s nice as well. Food is pretty good also. It is also easier to get in than some of the other places in Franklin and right down the street. Especially on busy evenings. Calamari is great. Good selection of beer and cocktails. The bar staff is fantastic. Great group. Enjoyed every time I’ve been there.

We visited Coal Town for our anniversary dinner. Sara was our server and she was amazing. Great recommendations. Attentive service. Kind details to make our special evening. The charcuterie board was so good. All the items chosen were just enough and their pairing together was very tasteful. Holiday cocktails-fun and so good. Main courses were: shrimp and grits. Amazing!!! And a salad with steak, mixed greens, pears and candid walnuts. It was very good. Live music was a bonus. Nice table settings. We left knowing we will return. Thank you for a great night!

I don’t even know where to start with this new addition to the restaurant scene. The food was good all except the skirt steak which was so chewy you couldn’t eat it. The best part of the duck duo was the leg confit because the slices of the duck were also chewy. The appetizers were all good. The baked brie, shishito peppers, and calamari were all done well. The evening didn’t start off well when the server dropped all of our drinks all over the floor. That was fine, he felt bad so he comped our drinks. But later we kept asking for more silverware and napkins and we were given a dirty knife. This place has potential, I think once they work out the kinks it could be a good neighborhood fine dining restaurant.

On a busy night, this team did not disappoint. From reservations, to being seated right away, great service and attention from more than one server, and outstanding food! The food is elevated and creative. Everyone at the table loved the food. We had the goat cheese dip, the calamari, shrimp and grits, steak frites, amazing drinks, and desserts that were outstanding. Thankful for such a great experience.

Our second time here and it was terrible especially given the price tag. For context, I travel a LOT and eat in a lot of restaurants so I know the Agony and the Ecstasy of good eats.
