A wonderful stop to make. My husband and daughter split the chicken and waffles. I shared the Cajun Benedict with my other daughter. The iced coffee was good. I really enjoyed the photo opportunity outside it was nice.

Nice place, hard to see when your driving by. Our waiter was great at his job there were 7 of us and he didn’t write anything down. I know I couldn’t do it. Food wise, the fish was 10/10, Shrimp 10/10, the fries 6/10, the burger was super bland, and the breakfast sandwich I was told 8/10 didn’t taste. All and all average. The Appetizers were the best thing on the Menu. I probably wouldn’t plan to go back, because it wouldnt even make it in my top 10 places in Lafayette but if someone was, hey you wanna go grab a bite at French Press I wouldn’t be opposed, so there far I give it a 3/5

Blake was a wonderful server! His drink recommendations were on point and he was great about checking in on us frequently. Definitely coming back when we’re in town next.

Great place for breakfast and lunch. I love the Croque-Monsieur, hamburgers and their delicious avocado and shrimp salad. It’s owners and staff do an outstanding job.

Anytime I go back home to visit this place is always on my list of “must-do’s.” You won’t find any other restaurant quite like this. It’s definitely a not-so-hidden-gem of Lafayette.

You have got to try the Cajun Egg Benedict and Truffled Eggs!! The service is where it’s at, the vibe is all too chill, and if I could marry a restaurant of people I would do so here. Thanks for an amazing breakfast! 10/10 would eat here again! Oh and get yourself a cold brew cocktail!

The food service was very slow. But that day was out of the ordinary. A cook quit and walked out on them. Needless to say it took an extra long time for our meals to arrive. BUT our server was outstanding. She was kind, apologetic and attentive. We were a large group of 11 as well. The cuisine was good that day. Some items were excellent, others were ordinary. All said and done I would definitely go back because of the staff that attended to us. I wish I remembered her name! Beautiful eyes, dark hair, young with a tattoo on her hand that was sanskrit. So if the owners read this. I hope you can figure out who she is. Because she deserves recognition.

My first time dining in. Pretty excited after reading the reviews. I told my waiter Drake it was my first time. He made no conversation or no suggestions . I ordered the butter milk pancakes with strawberry toppings I thought. When my food arrived the strawberries were in the pancakes . I tried to eat them but they were not agreeing with my taste buds. I told Drake if he told me they were inside the pancakes I would have said no toppings. So my brunch was not a great experience. Not able to order something different or have my pancakes cook differently they were closing. I had plan to bring my family that’s arriving from Michigan which is where I’m from. But I’ll pass. Not a good experience for me. I’m still hungry. But I’ll say the bacon was delicious.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to The French Press so I was looking forward to my old favorite, the Cajun Benedict, and it didn’t disappoint. As a rule, I prefer a dark gumbo so this hits the spot for me. This visit, however, I tried it with fried shrimp over the top. Not bad but I think I like it better without. We had a Sweet Baby Breesus for an appetizer and I was pleasantly surprised. Will need to try this again in the future. That and the Praline Bacon. All in all, a very nice visit.
