I hadn’t been to Rico’s in 20 years. I was nervous to try them again. The entrance is routed through the liquor store door due to a truck driving through the front, so that was a bit awkward. There was also an issue with my total. It took about 15 minutes, but they fixed it. The pizza was just as delicious as I had remembered. The toppings were a bit skimpy (one pepperoni per square), but the flavor was still there. Also, the employees were pleasant. I interacted with two young ladies and an older gentleman. Everyone was friendly. I definitely will return!

This pizza was horrible. It had little or no sausage. They used mushrooms out of a jar or can instead of using fresh mushrooms. The crust was soft and dry. Pizza lacked any sort of flavor. No one in my house liked it. I will not order again. The only positive thing I can say is the delivery driver was very nice.

Small pizza shack. Appears to be family managed as teens work in the afternoons. The food is made fast and tv is on for while you wait. The prices are fair for the size and portions. Overall a decent local pizza place that has been around for a while. The dining area always has their chairs on the table so take out seems to be the way to go also parking is a challenge. 7.50 2 slices and a can of soda. Or 12 dollars for a personal pizza with toppings can can be shared if you aren’t a glutton.

Great pizza. I stop here every chance I get. I get the special that is 11 toppings for the price of 6. Medium is $25.10. The large is $29.43 both are after tax is worth every penny. The flavor and crust is great. Give it a shot. 🙂 Update: 12-02-19 Still coming here and now I have pictures. 🙂

I order 2 slices. A pepperoni and a sausage. The pepperoni slice only had I slice of pepperoni on it. Wasn’t to happy at all on how it taste. I threw the pizza out. Will not come back here. All they did was stole my money selling that nasty mess.

Walk into the place gave him a name I couldn’t even find my ticket and they did find my ticket I already was there 20 minutes I was already made cut and sitting on top of the oven. Everyone that is working there look like zombies walking around. Making the pizzas kept coughing and hacking like she was sick but yes she did have a mask on I ordered extra sauce as a side to dip my crust in when I got back. There was no sauce in the box. Overall the pizza was okay but definitely not worth $29. I would NOT recommend this place. Definitely needs an uplift it looks like a dive… That’s just my opinion

I love Rico’s. I have been a patron of this establishment for about 25 years. I recommend the pizza of course and the Italian beef. Staff is always changing in my eyes as I no longer live full time in Gary. Anytime I’ve went staff has been great. Wait isn’t long if you call ahead. It’s near a truck stop and nicely lit. Perfect for parties and sports nights.
