Cocktails are well priced for the area. We had the truffle fries and I was surprised at how much we got. I was expecting a quarter of the amount for the price we paid. We will be back for dinner with friends. Our first trip was incredible. Happy hour all day on the Sunday we went but even the result drink prices were very reasonable for the area and atmosphere.

My friend and I dined at Nostalgic the week they opened. We grew up together and had not seen one another in years. Nostalgic was the perfect place for our dinner! We had such a great meal and enjoyed the service and atmosphere very much. We both had the Bibb salad and petite steak. We shared Brussel sprouts and the fondant sweet potato sides- AMAZING! We left stuffed!

Fun riffs on childhood classics, whether it’s a puff pastry hot pocket or a rice crispy treat cocktail. Atmosphere is almost speakeasy, which feels weird compared to the 90s nostalgia menu, but “Nostalgic” means different things to different people. Low marks for “value for money paid,” which is why I won’t be going back any time soon, but everything was tasty.

Apparently the owners of Nostalgic got the message about the menu and made some good changes in terms of prices & menu selection. I stopped by on a Thursday night and sat at the bar. Ordered the smash burger and fries, it was huge and cooked perfectly. Fries came with aioli, fresh out of the fryer. Next I ordered the coffee service for a dessert. A really nice tray featuring Quills Coffee and biscuits. Finishing everything off with the sour cherry nerd cocktail.

We had a great experience here getting an early dinner Wednesday night. We both enjoyed a few very nice oysters and their baked olives. My wife had the spicy Rigatoni it was very tasty, and I had the filet it was fantastic. Our only complaint, a very minor one would be that the “spicy” Rigatoni wasn’t spicy

Nostalgic is a gem and perfectly located on bardstown road in the Highlands of Louisville. Stumble in if only for one of their cocktails in the separated bar area. Everything was delicious and intentionally curated. We will definitely be back!!

Food is just okay and portions are small but the mocktails and atmosphere are top notch. Au Poivre was a smaller serving and a bit tough / not the best flavor but the atmosphere is amazing so I suggest coming here for snacks and mocktails/cocktails.

Really disappointed with my experience last night. I have been excited to try this place since it opened and thought it would be the perfect date night. I don’t recommend anyone eating the food. The shrimp and heirloom tomato appetizer were very underwhelming. I ordered a filet and it came out rare when I asked for medium rare and was cold. It lacked any flavor and for the price of 58 was a very big let down. I ordered the chicken wings as a replacement and was dissatisfied yet again with the lack of flavor. I would return for a cocktail but would not try the food again.

Wonderful apertif served complimentarily upon arrival. Great service.. attentive and thorough. The smashburger and fries were excellent. My husband had sweet tea fried chicken….. boneless thighs. He loved the flavor. The atmosphere was really cool but loud once the restaurant/bar area was full. We enjoyed the experience and would go again!
