This was such an unexpected treat! We had trouble finding a breakfast place, especially at 11:45 AM, and stumbled upon this amazing spot. The people were wonderful, the food was all 10/10, and the atmosphere was just the cutest!! We had the cinnamon roll french toast, avocado toast, 3 pancakes (they’re huge!), and split a cinnamon roll at the table. Plenty of food and leftovers, and was not crazy expensive at all. Thanks Chloe for the great service! Highly recommend this awesome spot.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. We went because they have gluten-free pancakes and a fun-looking vibe. While we were seated and our order was taken right away, we ended up waiting an hour and half for our food. It is a busy place, but for the last hour of our wait, our waitress (or anybody at all) never once came to our table to ask if we needed anything. We could see that she spent most of the time behind the counter, so she very easily could have checked in with us. A simple acknowledgement of the long wait time would have done wonders for the service. The food was okay — nothing special enough that we would ever consider waiting that long again. Definitely will not be returning next time we visit Okoboji.

Yikes! Over an hour wait for food! We’ve been coming here for years but this was the first time we had to wait this long for our food! We were seated immediately too at 8:15 am. We’ve been coming for years and it seems different. Food was still great and everyone was nice. Lots of coffee refills while waiting. Why are the food orders taking so long?

Very busy place, but I don’t fault them for that. Took 45 minutes to sit us (3 adults, 2 kids). Ordered drinks and food within 5 minutes of each other. Waited an additional hour for our food and another 20 minutes for our server to acknowledge us for our check. Kids were melting down, and we couldn’t do anything about it. We usually love this place, but two rough experiences in a row have left a sour taste in our mouths.

This is the second time we’ve come in since the end of June and the service was horrible and the wait time was ridiculous. Almost an hour and a half both times. I sent a private message the first time instead of doing a review they asked us to please try it again what we did today with a much smaller party. It wasn’t any different with a party of five as it was a party of 10 been coming to this place for I don’t know 20 years I’ve never seen Service like this, waits like this . We finally had our food to go today. We just couldn’t take the time to say to wait to eat after the amount of time it took to get the food it’s really sad. This is been such a staple and wonderful place for me and my family to come for so many years and now nobody even wants to go eat there anymore.

This place is an icon, so I was jazzed to be able to take my mom there on our recent visit to the area. My eggs benedict was yummy and their signature cinnamon roll french toast is very good too. Servers were very friendly and nice. The bathroom was very cold, so be ready for that, if you visit in the Winter.

Very cute little diner – the staff was very friendly and the food was great! Our group of 10 stopped for breakfast and the staff put two tables together and our wait was less than two minutes. The menu has a great selection to choose from and the price was very reasonable for the amount of food you get. The kiddie pancakes were totally cute and adult food was very good! Totally loved the experience!!
