Tonight, I took my family out to dinner at Mama’s. We had brisket, catfish, shrimp, and fried pork chops. It was amazing! I really don’t understand the negative reviews. All of our food was seasoned perfectly! The service was excellent as well. Chuck was very helpful with making sure we were aware of how to order, since it was our first time there. We will definitely be back. Thank you all so much for a great dinner and God bless!

Food is good but be prepared to wait forever. The staff is pretty unorganized and they expected us too know what to do when it was our first time there and we followed the in store prompts to be in line. We got to the counter and was standing there for a while before we finally asked what to do and then it was a series of us asking what to do before someone finally took our order. Besides that the food we got was good. Catfish/shrimp/okra/Mac cheese/rice gravy

When we entered the restaurant the line was average and it was half full with people. So thought the food would be great. . Ordered the smothered pork chops and cube steak meal with mac and cheese and candid yams. The food was horrible no seasoning at all the yams was from the can if not had me fooled. The cube steak tasted burnt.The Mac and cheese was horrible. Corn bread was thick and dry. What a waste of money. And to see the others sitting there eating it like It was good. Even the beverage was weak like that water it down. Asked for light ice they filled the cup past the rim. The staff was nice but I WILL NEVER RETURN OR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE EVERRRRR.

Best meal in years! Huge portions and all your southern/soul favorites to choose from. The collard greens are perfectly cooked, the gizzards and fried okra were perfect…everything is perfect! We found our new place to replace Cracker Barrel! This place rocks! Jazz music while you eat and the place is clean and comfortable You just gotta go and taste this food!

I don’t think that cooking seafood is there specialty. Had the grilled salmon filet, tasted basic and fishy, skin was still on the fish. Collards taste like seaweed. Everything else was delicious, oxtails, rice, yams, macaroni. I would definitely go back

Quality ingredients. Flavors are on point. Baked mac & cheese is amazing (more on the oily side). Jerk chicken is great. Collard greens, candied yams and cornbread!!! Wow. French fries are okay (get another side instead). The rice is delicious and the gravy is the next best thing here (after mac & cheese for me). The strawberry lemonade was too sweet! The regular lemonade is good. The red velvet cake to die for, would not recommend the choco cake as it was alil on the dry side. I would recommend the banana pudding for dessert. Friendly staff and service. Restaurant is really clean and most importantly the food was clean.

I eat here often but today was thee worst day . The lady refused to give me my food. I watched him prepare my food and then she switched it and argued with me about it. The other girl tried to offer me extra gravy but I want the plate I ordered. We already don’t have a lot of melanated soul food restaurants ! DO BETTER! Get her out of there. Then she gave the food away in my face like I wasn’t going to say something! Girl get your life together!
