I was very impressed by the attention to detail when I called on phone. Very polite and professional customer service. And the food was well packaged. Hot, clean and fresh. I absolutely enjoyed the food, especially the waakye. Though it’s several miles away from mine, I wouldn’t mind making the trip again. Dine-in options available when covid guidelines allow it.

It’s honestly so hard to capture take out food in its best light. But despite me not being able to make this pretty… Man, this is the best Ghanaian food I’ve ever had. The black pepper sauce I wanted to dump on everything. Puff puff was perfectly dense in texture and delicious. Everything was *chef kiss* and you know I can’t go without my egusi ‍♀️

I would give the Hunger Tamer a better review but every single time I place an order with them, either directly or through a food delivery service they do not pay attention to the details of my order and get it wrong. I explicitly stated in my order on Uber Eats that I do NOT want the red sauce – to include it a separate container – and yet you guessed it, my order came with red sauce covering my entire order!!! I cannot stand red sauce with my food so now the entire order is a waste of time, money & effort because I don’t want the food!!! Read the order!!!! In its entirety!

To be sincere, this is the worst waakye I have eaten since I came to the states over two decades ago. So who made the black pepper? Taste like it was made with jet fuel!! Did he or she taste it? And why is the goat meat so stale? when was it made? It is not even in the stew!!!! it is picked up from somewhere and dropped in the stew!!! And the people there are so unwelcoming, I wonder if it is really a Ghanaian joint.

You guys need to be organized. I called to place an order for meat pies. I wanted 5 meat pies and I was told I can only have 3 because they were unsure how many people placed orders for meat pies. Well I said okay no problems. On reaching the restaurant, I noticed that they had more than 10 meat pies on display in the show case. I was happy that they had more meat pies and I asked for 3 to be added to my order and they refused saying they were unsure if people placed orders. Are you kidding me? I felt really embarrassed. If people had ordered for those meat pies they shouldn’t be on display in the show case as though they are ready for sale. And again you should be sure how many people placed orders and how many meat pies they ordered. Maybe you should get a book and a pen and take down your orders. You guys need to do better so you don’t loose other customers as you have lost me. Honestly after this experience the meat pie didn’t taste nice in my mouth and I will definitely not come back for more. Please know that every customer is important.

The fish/meat pie is mouthwatering. I’ve tried the beans, jollof, and spinach stew- it’s delicious. I intend to order more food because the food tastes good and the customer service is impeccable. Definitely recommend.
