Ruby’s is a bit of a traditional concept that won’t be a draw for the hipster craft crowds. But know that it is a very good tribute to that nostalgic era of the greatest generation and the decade after the big band went the way of the Beatles. The food remains of high quality. This is a family place to bring the kids. We were here on a summer Friday night for the car show. So expect to hear some guys talking about their builds. The service is friendly. Although our server was a bit slow this time. Took too long to refill and get our order taken. The Cobb salad is standard fare. I was trying to be healthy. It has plenty of mushrooms and tomato and lettuce. Could use a bit more bacon. Overall a good Cobb. Now the turkey sandwich is a go-to for wifey every time we come here. Its super tasty turkey breast and cranberries remind her of post-Thanksgiving leftover sandwiches.

I had the Super Burger and it was fantastic. We also had a Salted Carmel Malt which was amazing. The service was great the price was fair. Our waitress (Winona) was happy and full of energy. 100% enjoyed the entire experience 🙂 I was a little late on my picture there was another half and a full malt

This place has a clean bathroom and I usually go here to pay my taxes once a year. I usually sit by a booth for a couple hours and do my taxes. This place also has some bad memories this is where my wife divorced me and took the kids. I still like this place though even though this place brought me to some dark places. Thank you and goodnight.

Delicious food and always friendly staff! Another one of my favorite local spots. I usually get their super burger (man my mouth watered just thinking of it) this time though i got their ranch burger. My boyfriend got the sea food plate and we got calamari for an appetizer. And of course i always get a strawberry malt to go (didnt take a picture). Next time i get the super burger ill update this review.

Good food and good service plus they are making every menu item to perfection. Unlike most restaurants that have changed hands, Ruby’s is providing their menu items at even higher quality than the original company. Go, enjoy the blast from the past and request one of their cardboard cars. Their Mediterranean salad is excellent and while no longer on the menu you can ask for their fish tacos. Another favorite is their seared ahi burger, remember to ask for Montreal seasoning, it makes this burger perfect. We ate breakfast there yesterday and I ordered ” The ‘Really’ Big Breakfast” and everything was well prepared as if this is a restaurant specializing in breakfast rather than burgers. While it was a lot of food it was delicious and our server, Anthony, was terrific.

I’d give them 0 stars because they are thieves. Harsh yes but my wife and I bought gift cards for gifts and our own use when I didn’t want to spend cash. We were going to use our gift card and they said they wouldn’t honor it. We told them we had around $80.00 and the card was good. They said no that they had changed hands and weren’t going to honor our cards. They took on the business knowing this then refused to make good. So Rubi’s dinners took money, refused service and we got ripped off. I’m made about the money but the food was nothing special. Red Robin and Chili’s are a few blocks away and have better food. In N Out has a better burger if you don’t mind a little wait. Don’t miss the food but I work too hard for some restaurant to be stealing.

This is a very nice place to have lunch or dinner in the heart of Whittier Area. It is located inside the shopping mall next to Kohl’s, Sear and 24 Fitness and many small businesses near by. Inside and outside this restaurant was very clean and roomy. The servers were also very friendly and helpful. I ordered a big beacon ,cheese , lettuce and tomato for lunch. It was huge and delicious. This burger was so good and juicy and it came with fries . It was so big that I have to cut it down to small portions. I was very happy what I have. Next time I should try something different from the menu. Services here were outstanding and friendly. The prices were decent and affordable.

This place in the Whitwood is not what it used to be, since new apparent ownership took over recently. The girls with the 50’s era clothing are gone, replaced with guys running around in average attire and hardly speak English. The one time great tasting food also took a hit for the worse……and the car gatherings are but a memory. Great job, Ruby’s!!
