Oh my word. Some of the best tacos I’ve ever had the pleasure to devour. I’d recommend this place any day of the week and twice on Tuesday. Service was friendly and the concept unique. Grab your own drink…order chips and salsa and the daily special and sit back to relax. Go here now…don’t wait or read anymore reviews. Car. Drive. Eat.

The food is excellent and definitely authentic, but feels a little pricey. For example, one cheesy biria taco is $5.99. We had the guacamole, salsa, chicken tacos, and chicken burrito. All the food tasted great.

Tacos Rojas is a cute little dive that I’ve been wanting to try. The staff was super friendly and they had an extensive menu. I was personally a little underwhelmed by my entree, a burrito, so this wouldn’t be my first pick, but I’d grab it in a pinch if I had to.

Tacos Rojas is definitely the type of taco joint I like to go to, a hole-in-the wall with authentic food. The place is small, but has a cool south-of-the border vibe. The service was great and they take pride in the presentation of the food. I looked at alot of the food going to other tables and it all looked delicious. I had a fish taco and a shrimp taco – both were flavorful, but I guess I was expecting a Baja-style fish taco – where the fish is fried. Both the red and green salsas were delicious. If I were in the area again, I would probably try Rojas again. I think everything was good, but nothing blew me away. Notes: There is plenty of parking in front of the building. The restroom is outside and around the corner – and definitely looks like an old gas station restroom. Be prepared.

Delicious food, sat at an outdoor booth. Taco recommendation was on point and the young lady who took our order was great. Definitely order the cheese birra taco, you won’t be disappointed. Would go back again for sure.

Authentic fresh food in a funky atmosphere and service with a smile. The Tacos al Pastor is a good example of how good the food is. Homemade corn tortillas toasted on the grill. Fresh homemade salsa and verde and tender meat. Good prices, good food and good service. Hard to beat.

I have frequented this place for years. I always order the Chicken Burrito California. I have not been here in a quite some time and ordered my usual and it was honestly the worst burrito I have ever had. It was all sour cream, horrid rice and lettuce there was a 4 inch string of shredded chicken, it’s usually bursting with flavor. We also ordered chips and cheese dip and it was horrible, chips were stale unsalted so we returned the queso and exchanged it for gaucemole and it was definitely not fresh, tasted horrible, couldn’t even eat it. My friend ordered 2 ground beef tacos and she says the cheese is not the same and they also did not taste like they usually do. I’m not sure if it was a bad day or if this place has lost it’s authentic touch. They did give me a refund for my burrito as I couldn’t even stomach it. Food took 20+ to come out. This is not a normal experience at this place by any means so I hope things are different next time.

Oh my goodness. I’ve lived a half mile from here and just went in with friends to try it out. It was fantastic. The guacamole was amazingly fresh and tasted amazing. The chicken enchiladas and beef enchiladas are wonderful. Even the refried beans were quite tasty. The quesadilla was overflowing with steak. The Taco Rojas was not only great but was presented beautifully. The arroz con pollo was so good, our two friends ate all of theirs after they said they were going to take half of it home. Amazing drink selection. Don’t think twice about going. The service was great as well, making it quite an enjoyable experience. Very authentic.

10/10. Best place to eat in Roanoke by far. Amazing customer service. Amazing food. And I loved the scenery; it felt very homey. I Recommend this place for anyone that loves Birria Tacos.

Surprisingly good. This was obviously a convenience store once upon a time that has been converted to a restaurant. The food was priced right in line with most other Mexican restaurants in our area, but the portion size was much more than any restaurant that I’ve been to in the Roanoke area. My boyfriend and I both had the Saturday lunch specials, mine was chicken, his was beef, and they were HUGE and tasted great! We also ordered tamales as side items, and they also tasted good.
