This place is one of the best Chinese restaurant in Waikiki. It’s just 20 mins from the beach and it’s worth checking it out. I would highly recommend to get the black pepper , it’s bomb!

Though small with only eight tables, Yong’s Kitchen, a decent family business, offers delicious cuisines in Chinatown, Honolulu. Their house special chicken with ginger and onion sauce is the most popular dish which keeps us returning – chicken, free ranch, is tender and chewy; the ginger onion sauce is aromatic and flavourful, adding an irresistible taste to the chicken.

Food was delicious, very authentic. Everything was flavorful, they didn’t have salt and pepper chicken but we had asked if they could and the chef was able to whip it up for us. It was a tad bit warm in there which is why it’s a 4 star but besides that, it’s worth trying and that it’s open till 6, since a lot of places close early in Chinatown.

Best restaurant in the island in my opinion. The food taste just like what they are in China. The volume of food is also big enough. The price is also pretty reasonable.

Eating in China is a highly important feature in Chinese culture. After all, Chinese people love to eat and view food as the common bond for socializing whether over home cooked meal, street food snack or at restaurants. Also, the typical loud talking, laughing and crowd size in restaurants indicates how good and tasty the restaurant’s dishes are. That being said, we were excited to kick off our Independence Day at this New and Hot Chinese restaurant with 5 other friends.

Great service and food worth recommending. We pre-ordered the taro duck and were surprised by the size of the dish. Excellent contrast between the crisp outer covering, almost fluffy taro, and tender duck. Honey spareribs were tender and Yong’s does not skimp on the honey sauce. Rounded out with seafood e-mein, fried pork chops, and spicy eggplant. Pork was tender and, for those who like jalapenos, there was lots of pepper to go with each bite. E-mein is a little more plain but a good contrast to the other flavors. Great overall!

Great authentic Chinese restaurant in Honolulu’s Chinatown. Recommended by a friend of my son, I was a little hesitant because of some of the reviews.

Quality and quantity are both good. Price is reasonable. We ordered the octopus and the preserved vegetable beef dish. The beef dish was amazing. However, the customer service wasn’t as friendly. It seemed as if they didn’t want us to dine in, and when they finally let us, they wanted to put us in the worst spot.
