Welcome to Gov’s Fusion Cantina, we are so excited to be here. We have been looking for the right spot, and have we found it! We now call the Commons at Governor’s Village in Chapel Hill our home to stay!
We are here to serve good honest food made and served with love and experience. We make a burger that makes us proud, we have some great local beers on tap, wines to pair with every entree, hand cut fries, loaded salads, handcrafted sandwiches and a world class hotdog.

The atmosphere is fun with outdoor seating and yard games. We got the bacon burger, grilled chicken sandwich, and fries. A few things to improve on – the foosball table is broken (several players are loose), the connect four doesn’t work (the wooden chips don’t fit into the game slots), and the corn hole bean bags need washing (they’re mildew-y). The burger was average, and the chicken sandwich had mayo on it (even though it doesn’t say it on the menu). It’s also not as affordable as we’d like (burger is about $17). We’ll visit again, but these improvements would be great to see!

It’s a cozy place. Tucked in on a corner of the Food Lion plaza. There was a very clean and inviting feel. Our waitress was on point with the service. The BBQ Bacon burger was delicious. Fries are fantastic. I was a little bummed they didn’t have Budweiser or Mountain Dew. Worth a look

Staff are getting used to the new system and menu. There are no substitutions for fries with a burger. They had onion straws and would not substitute for the fries. That was disappointing. Overall the food we ordered was good. Burger, pulled pork sandwich and fish and chips. We will go back and try them again. Beer was cold and great selection as well.

The new design and menu for this small restaurant are good. However the service, quality of food and overall ambiance were terrible. Our evening was interrupted by listening complaints from other tables and we were embarrassed when it came our turn to complain. Appetizers came out at the same time as the main after 45 minutes .All of the food was cold and the quality of the ingredients poor. The chicken dish had been fried in fish oil and despite pointing out an allergy the dish was not replaced or refunded. Had hoped for better when giving this place a second chance but will not be back again

We just moved into the area and I stopped in to check it out quick and look at the menu. It was very nice inside, A little smaller inside but they have tables outside as well. The staff was so pleasant and the people dining there were so nice, giving up and moving seats to make room for everyone. I did not try a burger on this visit but I had the empanads and let me just say WOW, they were excellent! I’m very excited to go back and try the rest of the menu!!

Excellent food, service, wonderful friendly staff. Dine in or out. Handicap accessibility and parking. Kid friendly. Great place to dine alone, with family, friends or large group. We enjoyed our experience completely. Be sure to save room for dessert!
