Very disappointing. I had eaten at other Dickey’s BBQ locations in Texas and was impressed with their bbq. Not the experience here in Redwood City. I waited for 10 minutes before the lady in the back said I could only order online – which I did – only to be disappointed with the quality of food. The two orders of fries were burnt and ribs were over cooked / dry – almost like eating jerky.

My wife decided to try this restaurant out and I was astonished at what she was given. A baked potato that looks like it fell into a fire. This was supposed to be a side meal. It’s was barely hand sized. The meats were dry. Seemed like they had sat under a heat lamp most of the day and dried out. The roll was so dry and stale, I can’t begin to describe it. The salad was warm (honestly could have been from packaging and transport. Can’t ding to hard for that.) The packaging was nice and visually interesting. The down side, it does claim to be “legit Texas barbecue ” honestly, I’ve never had barbecue from Texas. If this is Texas standard, then I’m fine without ever trying it.

Ordered delivery from these guys, first of all be prepared to not get what you ordered, not sure how can anyone get confused between “crisp okra fries” and “soggy potato fries” !

Never again. Ordered on Uber Eats. Food was delivered missing the drink I ordered as well as one of the sides. Pecan pie was delivered cold and partially frozen. “Texas toast” was a joke. Basically a slightly warm piece of bread thrown on top. No utensils – thankfully my hotel was able to provide some for me. I don’t think it would be possible for this to be prepared with any *less* love. High number of 1-star google reviews speak for themselves. First visit to California. Wanted to try something different. Something we don’t have where I’m from. Should have just gotten Panda Express like I originally intended.

Tiny portions.. it’s like a kid’s meal. Ordered two types of meat. There was one chunk of one and 4 of the other. Also I ordered mac and cheese brisket and got this bean mix.

My family tried Dickeys for the first time yesterday evening. Two people who had the sliced brisket both had stomach cramps and bad bloating hours later. We suspected food poisoning initially but it could be allergic reaction to something in the marinate. I didn’t have the brisket and did like the ribs I had (pulled pork was a bit dry). Given the bad experience, we won’t order again unfortunately.
