Not even 1 star. Huge bug was cooked with the rice. It was literally inside the roce bowl. And no refund. The owner doesnt seem to care as if its not a big deal. And of course no refund. Go if you like to eat bugs with rice.

The food was delicious and authentic. The dishes tasted and looked home cooked. My husband and I ordered the samgyupsal gui set for two and kim chi gae. The helpings are huge, and there were many sides, each one delicious. We ended up taking away enough for another meal. The hostess was friendly and helpful, making sure we knew how to eat all the dishes. She taught us how to make a lettuce wrap “Korean style”.

I took my parents to this 시골집 to buy my parents for good home town meal. One thing for sure the owner has changed. The reason I gave one star is cause the service was terrible and the food was too bland. Believe me you’ll get a better service from many other korean restaurants around Santa Clara area and the food will taste better like original Korean food. One thing about korean restaurant is the service and hospitality.

As a person who has stayed in South Korea for 3 years, I can definitely vouch for the authenticity of this restaurant. Their menu is so extravagant and each of them taste so amazing. Vegetarians shouldn’t miss out on their kimchi bibimbap and rabokki. Amazing experience everytime we get food from here.
