Homestead On The Roof— our cozy, secret rooftop— is tucked away above Roots Handmade Pizza in the heart of West Town. The magic of Homestead is its 85-seat outdoor rooftop patio with full view of the L-shaped, 1,000 square foot rooftop garden overflowing with beautiful flowers, two massive vertical hanging gardens, a decorative outdoor fireplace, and a new water feature. Homestead also has partial seating in its indoor, air-conditioned enclosed second story with charming and rustic decor. Join us every summer for an exclusive new pop-up menu, available for a limited time.

This season’s pop-up menu is inspired and influenced byJames Beard Award semifinalist Chef Chris Teixeira’s heritage.

We’ve made a tradition out of going to Homestead every summer, and this summer did not disappoint! I like things spicy, so I appreciated the spice levels of the pork belly and potatoes. My favorite dish out of our order was the scallops! I’m excited to come back next year for a whole different menu.

Menu changes yearly. Went for the portugués menu. The ribeye, mushroom and smelt were my favorite things. Excellent sauces, potatoes had a nice kick. Branzino, octopus and brussel salad were bleh. Overall a decent place!

I had been wanting to try this place for years and finally had a chance to plan a date there with my gal pal. Everything was wonderful… the urban rooftop oasis has a beautiful, garden vibe; the food was quite good (better than what I was expecting); and the service was very hospitable and friendly. The only constructive feedback is that our main and side came out while we were still working on the appetizers…. those could have come out slightly later, but it all worked out. The noise level was low and we could hear each other talk (maybe b/c we were there at 5:30pm on a Wed night, which was really perfect). Overall, a really wonderful experience. I will be back!

Romantic, great vibes, great fine dining…what more can you want. This rooftop blew me away considering this was my first time experience here. Homestead definitely is the spot. Food had great flavors and textures and the presentation was amazing. Will be visiting here again

Food is superb. Atmosphere is lively. Place needs new tables, pretty beat up. I specifically asked waiter to pace food delivery but brought it out all at once. We were still eating appetizers when mains came. Food and drink is excellent but too pricey for what they serve. 3 scallops a bit larger than a quarter for almost $30, really?

Honestly, this is a GEM of a restaurant. The Filipino flavors were amazing and beautifully constructed. Every dish left me speechless. The service was amazing. Our water’s were never left unfilled. The owner (I believe he was the owner) would always check on us and ask us how the food was! The pictures don’t do it justice at ALL. We will be back for the brunch menu!!

Cute patio with very friendly staff. For us, service was pretty fast. We were seated right away and they brought us our dishes as they were ready (staggered). We tried the pandesal, the papaya salad and the half roasted chicken. The bread and the salad were alright, nothing super memorable. We really enjoyed the flavor of the chicken and the side rice, very tasty! That was probably our favorite dish of the night.
