When you try and support black business and it’s always something. They don’t even wipe off the styrofoam containers they serve the food in which should have been the 1st red flag so when it sit it down now I have BBQ sauce all over my clothes. Instead of telling me they didn’t have certain side they just gave me double Mac and cheese. Meat tasted like lighter fluid and order a fried chicken meal but was given BBQ instead of telling me they didn’t have it. Sorry but y’all have to do better

Stopped by for a rib tip dinner and saw they had jerk tip barbecue, ordered rib tip dinner with Cole slaw and beans. Also ordered a small side of the jerk tips. Well, the jerk barbecue was good-however it was (and regular rib trips) greasy. Not sure how barbecue ends up greasy unless it was sitting around in a pan and soaking up grease-ughhh.

I really enjoy the food. I only go there when they 1st open up cause they’re not so busy and everything is fresh. I really enjoy talking to Marvin which is the cook. And his aunt as well they give you a friendly vibe that keeps you coming……

Yams taste like they were poured out of the can dry old. Baked beans are just pork n beans , shoulder tastes old and dry. Ribs no smoked flavor at all.Just lots of sweet baby rays sauce

Grew up in the area and been gone for 14 years. It’s nice to see a BBQ joint pop up. Portions are large. Food is decent and solid. I’d hold the sauce next time so I can put the amount I want on. Girl at counter was friendly and gave a good recommendation. I’ll be back. It’s cool seeing the smoker out front knowing that meat is smoked and not baked/roasted with liquid smoke for flavor.

The first time I went they were out of barbecue…that was disappointing it seems to be the main thing on the menu and how did you allow yourself to run out? I ended up getting cat fish it wasn’t anything to write home about and it took FOREVER! I watched at least 5 more customers enter and leave as I sat there mad at myself I didn’t do the same considering $16.99 is quite a bit to pay for 2 pieces of catfish and customer service left a bit to be desired after a really heavy lady seemed to glue herself to the seat in the order taking window. I asked her if they had a phone number to call to place the order bc the waiting time on an order is so long she said no….it was soon clear she possessed the personality of a wet rag.

Got the big daddy’s taste it all with the 3 meats coleslaw & baked beans. Additionally, ordered a small side of Mac and cheese, cornbread, and banana pudding. When opening up my food the additional side orders were missing. I didn’t get any mac and cheese, cornbread, or banana pudding. I paid about $60 and got ripped off. What I got was the 3 meats, coleslaw, baked beans, and weirdly enough some soggy fries which I didn’t order. My first time going and will never be going back.

This was my first time at big daddy soul food first thing first I walked in no one greeted me I went on to say hello still quite again this was my first time here I went on a Sunday everything they had advertised for Sunday soul food Sunday’s they did not have no dressing, peach cobbler, smothered pork chops or meat loaf !The the customer service was appalling the girl at the front counter was on her phone as I asked her about the menu and was placing my orders. First time trying there’re food,order half and half tips and shoulder the meat was soaked in plain barbecue sauce no rib tips plenty of shoulder meat that was fatmeat and chop up,bake beans had to much sugar in it and the coleslaw didn’t have a taste.spend $21 and was not satisfied
