It’s under new ownership. The same people that own the Bull Moose in Alpine, WY. I believe the new name is The Little Moose. Anyway, took the wife and 3yr old grandson to diner. Was Sunday evening so like not very busy. The staff was really great, very friendly and helpful. The food was good also. A little spendy, but it is kind of a tourist attraction/area. But all in all very good place to grab a bite to eat.

Visiting Idaho and stopped to eat here after some hiking. The building, inside and out, is beautiful but the service and food was anything but.. The waitress was very emotionless, to the point of rude, and rarely came back to fill our drinks (which were empty for almost 10 minutes at one point). We ordered an appetizer and four meals consisting of salads, chicken, and pork. The chicken wings were very good to taste but not cooked all the way through. The insides were bloody (liquid, soaked into the napkin very red in color) which I’ve never seen before. The braised chicken was good in flavor but very cold inside which ruined it. My pork loin was cooked through but tasted like it had no seasoning at all. The salads with chicken breasts were good so that was nice. Overall the only real positive was the company (Goofy the restaurant’s dog) who sat with us most of the time and gave us some laughs. He was shortly removed from our presence (I’m guessing after the waitress saw we were having a good time) so the rest of the visit did not go well.

We absolutely love this place! We came up here for the Labor Day weekend. Our waitress KRISTINA was so sweet making sure we had everything we needed and more! As far as the food goes… OH MY HEAVENS! My family ordered the ribs, country fried steak and fish and chips. Each dish was absolutely PHENOMINAL both the ribs and country fried steak were delicious and hands down top ranked on our list for steak and ribs! The beer battered fish and chips was SO FRESH and melted with each bite. Defiantly equivalent to or even BETTER than the FRESH coastle fish we’ve tried before. LODGEING was spectacular, very comfortable, spacious rooms. They even have the option for pets, but you wouldn’t know any different do to the great cleaning services they have. Our family would 10/10 recommend this place and will defiantly be back!
