When placing my order last night, I specifically requested NO MSG, Disodium or anything of that nature put into our food however, halfway through the meal, I began to react to whatever chemical they use as a flavor enhancer. This morning I was coughing, wheezing and my eyes were swollen mess. Tonight, after reheating his meal, my son, not only pulled a black hair from his noodles (he is a ginger) he also bit into a clump of what he assumed was the flavor enhancer. Thoroughly disgusted, he threw the remainder of his meal away. If an Asian “restaurant” cannot make food without the use of chemicals to “enhance the flavor” of their cooking, they need to permanently close their doors.

This place is small, really small. Like it would seat maybe 10 people. It’s clearly a take out place. But, when I went in, I looked through the order window and saw an authentic Chinese kitchen. It was Chinese New year, so I decided to give it a try. I asked the lady at the order window to tell me what the chef’s specialty is, she said Hunan. So I ordered the Hunan shrimp. It was good. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy, good brown sauce, very enjoyable. Would order again, but I was the only one there on Chinese New year.

Place looks clean. Staff was nice. Food was not that great. Sauce very watered down. Chicken tasted like it’s been sitting there for hours in the sauce. Wouldn’t go back.

I can’t rate on any of the above categories because they simply lied about having a buffet,the place is so small it can be a drive thru store, therefore me and my girlfriend ended up at King Buffet on Corruna and that was probably an even worse choice! I think I’m gonna find me a Benihana and pay for the good stuff cuz most these mom and pop Chinese restaurants are NO GOOD!!!

North Sea Chinese is a great little local place that offers great food at reasonable prices. You can call in your order ahead of time and it is ready in 10-15 minutes so it makes for a great last minute dinner option. If you have not been give them a shot!
