Wowza! Who knew that there is a portal to New York City right here in Anchorage, Alaska? I used to live in New York City, and I have missed the flavors and crusts and sauces of authentic Italian cuisine since moving away. At Saverio’s, from the moment I step into the door, I’m back in NYC, excited to eat life changingly good food. Yes. I had the small Mediterranean salad and the cannelloni. As I waited, I listened to the Italian music while watching one of my favorite Netflix shows, with no sound, but subtitles. I soaked in the bustling to-go counter, I enjoyed hearing the laughter of a table of men who looked like they just got off work and got together for beers, pasta and pizza. I had ordered my food at the counter and was happily surprised when my amazing salad came out and the runner rushed to bring me a set of silverware. My cannelloni had a healing effect on my spirit. The sauce, the flavors, the textures and the bread crescendoed into a cascade of comfort. Comfort food. Kind, authentic, people. This is my new favorite restaurant. I can’t wait to try the pizza.

Great Pizza, great service. I am a huge fan of Saverios. If you have experienced a good East Coast slice then you will love their pizzas. I love bringing my son here on a date, he loves their cheese pizza which is also my favorite. My son was a few bites in and I knew I had to capture how much he was enjoying the pizza. We got a cheese pie with a little bit of extra cheese and garlic knots. Highly recommend you try them, I love to Dine in so that we can get the pizza fresh and extra hot. Don’t sleep on this place, they are the best. Go try them !!

Everyone was cheerful and helpful. The Mediterranean salad was delicious. We got the medium size pizza which was HUGE! They graciously made it half and half. Half with the clam casino and half with cheese and mushrooms. The pizza was cooked to perfection.

I was really happy to find this little hidden gem, I originally came looking for pasta, but really liked the look of the slice display. The Bruschetta pizza is very yummy and it knocks out the appetizer and pizza simultaneously

OMG, Saverio’s is the best pizza in Anchorage! We visited twice on our short stay in Anchorage, it was that good. The pizza was delicious NY Style pizza. The calzone was tasty, filled full of meat and cheese and a generous serving. The restaurant was clean, the staff very friendly and I highly recommend Saverio’s Pizza in Anchorage.
