This is my favorite place to get any kind hot dog. They’re creativity is light-years beyond the competition. The ingredients are fresh and you can really tell the difference. All the way down to the buns each item has taken careful consideration to the products used.

I had the Louisiana hot sausage with sautes onions. Delicious!! Also had an order of Korean fried chicken with crinkle cut fries. Not a fan of those style of fries. The Korean chicken was juicy but too greasy and not crunchy at all. Will go back for the sausage tho! Also, my friend had the burger that comes with bacon and onion rings. She liked it.

I ordered “the pocho” and it was okay TBH. The super warm sausage was served on a bun with condiments. Till the time I waited for it to cool down, the bun was totally disintegrated.

Extensive and super creative menu. Large portions. Amazing flavors. Specialty drinks in addition to regular sodas/ water. Very impressed with it. No lines/wait list like most of the places close to Hilo hotels. Nice staff and short wait. Will definitely come back before I fly back home. Also, the pack your food in compostable containers which I really appreciate. Eat local.

Who doesn’t love a great hot dog? In addition to locally made sausages and custom sauces and toppings, they also have daily specials that are homemade and delicious. This is a must stop when visiting Hilo, or just looking for an island made meal.

Some of the best tasty hotdogs and burgers in Hilo. We visit this establishment at least once a month to get our fix. Great friendly service with a smile and always in a timely manner. Every time we visit try something different on the menu. We have yet to be disappointed. Definitely a must for all hotdog and burger lovers!!!

A truely epic hot dog. We dropped by for lunch today and had a dawgzilla and a custom built dog. Both were excellent. For around $9 they are covered in toppings and with a good sausage.

You may not be expecting amazing hotdogs in Hawaii but this place flies past expectations and I hope starts a little Hawaii island Hotdog revolution. First to be said is their customer service at a hot dog restaurant can put so many upscale restaurants to shame. That is definitely something to point out. The meat they use is very high quality, fresh and natural and they have many variations even a lamb sausage. Has that juicy Smokey and savory snap that every hot dog enthusiast must have. Would make New York City and Chicago the hot dog capitals of the world shed a tear. I love how Big island Top Dogs uses the perfect base of a great frank but makes it their own adding their aloha and island flavors. Please check this place out you will never guess what big amazing and authentic flavors are hiding inside this little island hot dog shop. Big Island Top dog’s weiners are packing a powerful punch!
