Since its opening, my family and I never visit anymore sushi places, for this is by far the best sushi restaurant near us. Every time we eat here, we are always excited to eat the fresh, flavorful sushi served here! We also love the ambiance of the restaurant because it’s very small and relaxing. If it is your first time visiting I’d highly recommend the Avocado Bomb and Caribbean Roll! If you’re more like my parents and in the mood for a crunchy, savory roll, I’d suggest the Crawfish Dynamite Roll.

What a great little restaurant! Fairly priced for sushi. We spent $62 for 5 rolls between two people, waters, and dessert. Food was delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. Place was busy but they made it work and it was overall a great experience. We will come back again.

Phenomenal sushi place! We had the Caribbean Roll, Samurai Roll, the Heart Attack appetizer (stuffed jalapenos), Squid Salad and Shrimp and Veggie tempura, and all of it was absolutely amazing! Fresh, balanced flavors with a beautiful wasabi type sauce that wasn’t spicy but gave just a little kick of spice and freshness. Best tempura I’ve had! The service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice. Probably my new favorite sushi place!! Definitely going back!

One of my favorite sushi places near Arlington! I’ve gone here plenty of times and you can always tell that they use fresh & quality ingredients. They have a large selection of rolls and other menu items to choose from. The inside is small & cozy. Service is always great. I also love that the sushi rolls are plated on a boat every time!

I almost don’t want to write this review because selfishly I want to keep this gem of a sushi restaurant all to myself but I guess they deserve all the ⭐ stars! The quality of the food is top notch! I usually like a few things on the menu of any restaurant but I honestly have not ate anything here that I don’t like. I eat a lot of sushi and consider myself a foodie so it’s rare to find such quality. The chef is superb and super generous with the sushi and fish portions. Him and his wife (works in the kitchen) owns the place and the pride of ownerships shows in the quality. Jim our server is the chef’s son and is super polite and loves what he does. Best of all, their menu prices are very reasonable. We eat here about 2-3x a week. My kids love it and the wife approves the fish which is good for lowering my bad cholesterol. Go here and you will agree and give them grace if it takes a while for food since it’s just the family working there and they do their best!! Foodie approved!

We’ve been driving out of way many times to try different sushi places and find one we really liked, but we had not had the chance to try Sushi Gio before. We did tonight for the first time, and we were pleasantly surprised. The search is over, and we have found our favorite sushi place. We tried different items and each was delicious, my favorites were the paradise roll, the veggie and shrimp tempura, and the Yaki udon Noodle. 10/10 would recommend for several reasons: the food was just exquisite and fresh; the service was awesome, even though they were busy; and the ambiance was very authentic. Overall a very exceptional experience 🙂
