I am a local and finally just made it up to the new, Old Spots bistro… Many will know the location at the Greenbank farm, where Whidbey Pies Cafe used to be… Surrounded by amazing master gardeners, with indoor and outdoor seating, so we had her with us… The menu was original and delightful, the fish at sell fish soup it’s fabulous as was the Gruyère grilled cheese sandwich with home cured ham… Even for dessert, the dart cherry chocolate chip cookie was delightful. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend it place to visit. If you haven’t been there yet… still carry the delicious Whidbey pies there…

We celebrated Father’s Day with Mike & Mark and the wonderful staff of old Spits Bistro yesterday. It was a phenomenal feast for the mouth!

Cozy spot that serves mainly berry and fruit pie, frozen for take-home or fresh to enjoy on-site, and various coffee drinks. They also have pot pies, sandwiches and other foods. Inside and outside dining are available, and the property features a pastoral setting next to a pond and plenty other surrounding businesses on the old farm property are adjoining. The off-leash dog area on property is also expansive with plenty of trails for you to enjoy with your for legged friends.

It took us a little bit to find the spot that sold a Whidbey Pie at Greenbank Farms, but this little bistro out in the back was it. There is outdoor seating only right now, and when we visited only one person was serving and making coffee, so there was a little bit of a wait, but she was very friendly and helpful. One of the best pies we’ve had!

I stopped on a Sunday, minutes after close time and the 2 guys(one counting the till) were nice and let me buy a cherry pie. And WOW. It was perfect! I love a great pie and this was it! Perfectly sweet and tart, almost all cherries! (easy on the goo!) and a flaky crust w/sugar on top… so yummy w/vanilla ice cream or even without! I live over an hour away but I’ll be back.

Customer service was non existent. The employee behind the counter seemed like she could care less to be there. I’ve worked in hospitality in high-end spas, as well as Nordstrom, for many years…I know bad service when I see it. Especially when employees don’t thank you after you’ve made purchase.

Skimpy on the meat for the BLT sandwich. Only 2 pieces of bacon. Choose the pickled veggies as side option and it was a measly small 2 oz dixie cup?! Too bad. The place is cute but its missing the mark.

Lunch was okay, pretty overpriced for what you get. Pie looks good. We ordered a kids burger with no condiments, after 25 min wait we got it with the condiments clearly cleaned off with a paper towel, instead of remaking it.

I had the Farro and winter squash salad and it was so delicious as well as healthy and my husband had clam and mussel chowder that was flavored to perfection. Service was good as well . Definitely will return next time we are in the area.
