Perfect. All the basics of a good Korean steakhouse where you grill at your table. The 냉면 was okay. I’m not a fan of 칠냉면 (arrowroot) so the noodles were thicker but very tasty still. The corn cheese was a bit too sweet. The 된장찌개 was good and not seafood based which was perfect for the kids. You order rice separately if you need the carbs, and the combos are a great way to try out a few different meats. We had shaved beef 차돌, spicy pork 돼지불고기, 갈비seasoned galbi, and 항정살 pork jowl-the best!!! And then ordered more of the first one. The service was fine. The servers were a bit busy, but it was Saturday and packed even at 6:30pm.

If you wanna try Korean bbq in Katy, 8ounce is a good destination to try. The setting and atmosphere is decent. People are helpful and service is good. Family friendly place. Size of the dishes are bigger than expected and you can leave behind quite amount of uneaten food.

Trendy ambiance with a variety of seating arrangement. Quality ingredients. Bbq meat are cooked by server at table side. Ryan, our server, was friendly. For pancake, ours was westernised, cheesy, soft, almost pizza like. Make sure you ask the server for the traditional one. Pricing is on the premium side for Korean BBQ. For sanitary reason, I do wish the side dishes (ban-chan) are freshly plated and served when guests were seated, rather than sitting uncovered at the table (at room temperature) for many hours. I hope management would consider this change. Overall a fun and delicious dinner. Would recommend!

The atmosphere is what shines here. The vibe and the music is very uplifting and welcoming. The music is upbeat and trendy. The food was average for an upscale Korean restaurant. The side dishes looked great but the taste just wasn’t satisfying. The meat was fresh. Small portions for the price. Overall it was good.

I didn’t find much good Korean BBQ at Katy. But I found the impressive one here. I saw 8oz at Las Vegas and I went to there a lot of time. 100% fresh meat as travel city, 100% good taste as there, and wonderful services. Even the water bottle are same lol. Definitely will come back again often!
