This place is cheap and convenient for those who need to grab something locally on base. The wait time was long even though we were literally the only ones waiting for food. The food however, is not good. It appears as though the cooks do not clean the griddle for the different types of food. I had breakfast there and ordered the Pancake Plate. The scrambled eggs we ordered had black spots in them, most likely from other food that was caked on the griddle. The pancakes had black specks all over that were also from caked on food from the griddle. The pancakes were crusty on the outside and crumbled apart when trying to cut. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because the lady who took our order was kind and helpful. They need quality control here!

Worst golf snack bar I’ve ever tried and I’ve been golfing for 45 years. Fries taste like fish and smell like burnt cooking oil. Hamburgers have every last bit of juice squeezed out of them. Bread dry and stale. Price of beer just doubled. Staff confused by simple questions. If this joint was outside the gates it wouldn’t last a month.

The 8 Iron grill is a great place to eat if you are a fan of waiting an hour for some scrambled eggs and potatoes smashed into a tortilla (burritos are pretty good honestly). A quaint little eatery that makes you feel right at home when you walk in for breakfast and they tell you that you should go eat elsewhere. On the plus side, the biscuits that may/may not be edible also double as a hockey puck. If you enjoy hearing the slamming of doors as the frustration of the workers builds, this is the spot for you!

Have been to this greasy spoon golf course restaurant several times for breakfast. I really like the breakfast sandwiches and burritos. Prices are great too. Note: this restaurant is on MacDill AFB, so need base access. If you are at the golf course or Marina, I recommend it!

I would give it a zero if I could. Waited an hour for biscuit and gravy. When I asked for my money back, they just ignored me.

I never thought you’d find a bad cuban sandwich in Tampa, but they’ve made that possible here. This place doesn’t care about quality or cleanliness. The dining area was a disaster. I can only imagine how the conditions in the kitchen are. The trash bins were overflowing and swarming with flies. Tables and floors were littered with old food scraps. Whoever runs this place is a disgrace to the food service industry.

Checked it out and didn’t enjoy or recommend forward. We ordered a steak burger, buffalo chicken wrap and chicken tenders with fries. Just fried food, bland, greasy. The view of the bay is beautiful but the food will be a hard pass if asked.

So the food was better than I expected. My burger was perfectly cooked not over done. The fries we pretty ok. They had plenty of seats.
