5411 (named after the international dialing code for Buenos Aires, Argentina) started in 2009, when the three founders decided they wanted to bring a piece of their country to Chicago. It started small, very small, but a good product and word-of-mouth made our little dream grow from just deliveries to one of the most successful food trucks in the country. In 2012 we opened ourfirst permanent location in Clark St. and we’ve been lucky enough to keep growing since then. In Houston Texas since November 2016.

Empanadas weren’t as juicy as I expected. They were rather dry. I didn’t pay extra for the sauce because I never needed sauce from other places. Service was excellent! I pre-ordered as I was passing thru downtown and my order was ready to go when I arrived. I would consider ordering again, sometime in the future, but would definitely need to pay for sauce so they aren’t so dry tasting…. Not bad, but not the greatest.

Omg, the applewood bacon, dates, and goat cheese empanada is delicious! If you don’t know what to choose, get this and thank me later. Something about this combination makes a surprising sweet treat that will make your day.

This is unique find in the Tunnels and definitely worth a shot. I recommend the Meat options with malbec beef being the winner on the list. Honorable mention goes to the chicken curry and the bacon/date (interesting is likely the right word). It is great that the empanadas or not saucy but well spiced and thoughtfully sized. Order 2 for a reasonable lunch, 3 if you are really hungry and 4+ if you are a Texan

This has great ratings on here but this stuff taste horrible.Whoever made these, they need to stop! I had 5 different flavours and they were extremely horrible. One of them I could not even finish eat. Plus they are super small in size. Definitely would not recommend.

The Alfajor from Argentina was awesome. If you are in the Houston downtown tunnel system and you looking for something sweet then 5411 empanadas is a great place to visit.

The empanadas are pretty bland (they are baked, not fried). They charge for chimichurri and red hot sauces. They were out of chimichurri when I arrived. Their red hot is not spicy at all and is extremely oily.

I had a dozen empanadas delivered and they didn’t have two available, I ordered online, and a lady that worked there called. She was extremely professional and polite and I have to say these empanadas are amazing! So far my favorite I’ve tried is the bacon, dates, and goat cheese one! You have to try this place

I’m blown away by all the good reviews. The food here is not good. Maybe I’m spoiled by my Venezuelan MIL, but these empenadas aren’t even close to the ones she makes. Don’t waste your time.

I ordered the 3 empanada lunch for 10 bucks. I chose spinach and cheese and beef empanadas. Omg delicious!! I could eat here everyday. The salsa was fresh and drinkable.

Limited lunch hours like most of the restaurants in the tunnels. I enjoyed the Malbec beef and spinach and cheese flavors.
