This burger joint seems to have a better reputation than actual burgers. They aren’t bad, but also aren’t exceptional.

I went here to have lunch after a hard day of work. Had a 5 star burger and small fries. Both were fresh and delicious. Great bun, patty and condiments. I hadn’t been to this place in over 10 years. A great local burger joint with beer.

Growing up in NE Albuquerque, 5 Star Burger used to be my favorite burger spot. And once I turned 21, obviously turned into a great spot for happy hour drinks. Finally coming back and visiting Albuquerque after several years, I was glad to see this spot still busy during happy hour. I could be wrong but the burgers do seem a bit smaller than I remember and not as amazing. It’s still a solid burger but I can’t really complain about their happy hour pricing!

Server was really nice! For the price food was expensive for a small amount. Fries were half burnt & stale & half fresh all mixed together. Didn’t like how fries were separate from the actual burger. Wasn’t bad but wasn’t great.

We’ve eaten here many times before and loved it. Today we ordered 2 burgers, fries, onion rings, 2 waters. The bill with tax and tip was over $40. Unfortunately, at these prices, we won’t be coming back.

10/21: 5 stars for well…5 Star (or Five Star) I am not a burger lover but this place captured my attention and taste buds. Neighborhood eatery that was crowded for lunch, but got a table right away. Yes there is patio seating when available. Although the restaurant seemed a tad dark in lighting (maybe because of Halloween, idk…) it was extremely clean, friendly staff and I enjoyed that hormone-free, chemical-free, unfiltered burger.

Great tasting burgers. Also had the tuna bowl and was superb. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Got here at 5pm on a Saturday and filled up quickly when it got closer to 6. Good atmosphere. Good selection of beers.

The burger was okay…the bun was crumbly AND soggy in places. My burger patty was cooked right, my boyfriend’s was cremated. The fries were cold and soggy. Our wings were cold. Seems to me that the food had been sitting for a while.
