Neat little Swedish coffee shop! Latte was freshly made by hand. Unique decor, several baked goods/drink options for a shop in a smaller town

My husband and I visited this charming town for their city-wide garage sales. We stopped at 4th Street Fika because we love coffee! The owner has a really cool story (no spoilers here ) so sit at the bar and listen. The hazelnut latte and cinnamon-raisin bagel were delicious!

Jonas and his family were excellent hosts. The coffee and pastries reminded me of my memories of traveling to Stockholm and enjoying Fika. The coffee and ambiance were incredible and Jonas’ stories about the history of the building and his family’s story were lovely to hear. Whether a day trip or just passing through be sure to stop by 4th Street Fika.

Wow! This is an awesome Swedish coffeeshop in Appleton Missouri! It is located a little over an hour’s drive from Kansas City. The coffee is awesome and the home baked goods are fantastic. The crisp home made cracker (fröknäcke) with butter is a unique healthy snack item. The muffins, cinnamon rolls, and cookies have a rich flavor to them and are in true Swedish spirit in that they are not overly sweet. 4the Street Fika also serves rich chocolate coconut balls (choklad bollar) which reminds a swede of home. The ambience has a rustic culture to it and the decor reflects an eclectic American past. Comfortable furniture along with books and board games offer a great opportunity for social interaction and relaxation. Enjoy this place, folks!

Best breakfast place in town. Loved the food. Loved that they had local and Swedish coffee. Loved talking with the owners and hearing their beautiful story.

Loved the breakfast sandwich and London Fog—Jonas and Shelly, their great coffee and excellent baked goods (all made in house) make this sweet little stop a one of a kind sweet little find in Appleton City—worth a trip from KC for us, especially with all the hidden (excellent) antique stores Shelly was able to point us towards—an easy and quaint day of Swedish fika that was exactly what we wanted for our Saturday.
